In this video, NSW Premier is asked about changing the driving laws for medicinal cannabis patients.

Watch the last 30 seconds.

He says he believes he has an idea for how it could work but he’s not sharing it yet because he wants to test it within government first.

It does make you wonder what approach he’s thinking about. Blood testing? That’s certainly not something the patient community wants, and we already know that measuring THC in the bloodstream doesn’t prove whether someone is impaired or safe to drive.

What we’d love to see is something much simpler — the Victorian model.

In Victoria, magistrates are given discretion. If THC is present but the driver can show they are a legitimate medicinal cannabis patient and they are not impaired, the court can choose not to cancel their licence.

If you live in New South Wales, now is the time to speak up.

Let them know that Victoria’s approach should be the starting point for protecting medicinal cannabis patients.

Now is the time for the community to apply some pressure.

As I head to the United in Compassion conference this February, I want to remind you why this movement began.

Before the exhibition halls, the after parties, the deals and the politics there was community.
Real people. Real patients. Real stories.
Families asking for compassion from the Australian Goverment and medical bodies.

While conferences can be filled with industry chatter who’s partnering with who, who’s selling what, who’s doing it “right” - I often notice what’s missing: a true representation and advocate for the plant and the people who still are fighting for access and reform.

So when you see me in the room, that’s what I’m there for.
I represent the Australian who wants safe access, the person who wants to grow and consume responsibly, and the patient who believes this medicine belongs to community as much as it does to clinics.

I want to speak to the most contentious point that’s come up around the not-for-profit conversation.

The fear seems to be that medical corporations will come in, fund it, silence me, and push hidden agendas. I understand why people feel wary but I also know, in my bones, that that is not who I am or how I move.

When I say for the people, by the people, I mean it.

What’s wild is being dragged from both sides at once —
“Don’t let corporate money in”
but also
“Don’t you dare ask patients or community to contribute, what a shill.”

So… how exactly are we meant to build anything?

The truth is, I’ve spent 10 years making things happen with no backing, no safety net, and no handouts.
This will be no different.
If it’s aligned investors, crowdfunding, a GoFundMe, saving my own money to do it, I don’t care where support comes from.

What matters is this: no one buys my voice.
I decide how funds are used. I decide what I stand for. Always have.

People can slander me, question my intentions, or say I’m “not for the community” which is so far from the truth it’s actually funny, That’s okay.
I’ll keep moving like I always have quietly, consistently, purpose-led and when it’s ready, I’ll bring it to the people.

What is disheartening is how often, when we try to band together, it’s our own community that tears each other down. Tall poppy syndrome. Negativity. Ego. Wounded masculinity. All of it is still very present it’s exactly what keeps us stuck.

Anyways I’ve shared more context in the video.
Get in the comments. Let me know what you think. 🤔

If you rock with me, listen up.

If you want real access to the cannabis world - not the polished PR version, but the actual one, from the grass roots and beyond, this is for you.

If you wanna know which clinics are ethical, who’s doing the good work in our scene, what’s happening with policy, driving laws, legalisation, and where to find community, education and safe consumption spaces… I want to continue building that.

Right now, I’m calling in people who have skills to bring to the table; legal, governance, media, tech, community builders, thinkers, doers.

And if you don’t have skills but you have ideas, support, or just belief in what The Green Room HQ could become, I wanna hear from you too.

This isn’t about me. It’s about creating access, education, and community around cannabis and wellness and self sustainability built with integrity, transparency, and heart.

When I give back, it doesn’t feel like work.
This is my purpose.
This is value-led.
And I know so many of you feel it too.

If this resonates, my DMs are open 🍁 🙏

Listening to Jordan Herring of speak is a reminder on why this plant - and this culture - deserves so much respect.

The reverence for the pollen chuckers, breeders and underground custodians who kept genetics alive through prohibition. We acknowledge you 🫡

These people risked everything so breeding knowledge, diversity and plant intelligence didn’t die in the dark.
Without them, there is no culture, no medicine, no “legal” market to speak of.

At the end of this clip, he speaks about work using cannabinoids, terpenes and plant extracts to treat MRSA - a pathogen notoriously resistant to antibiotics.
Once again showing that plant medicine can succeed where conventional treatments often fail!
Absolutely mind-blowing.

This is why we protect the plant.
This is why we honour the legacy.
And this is why these conversations matter.

You can have all the bells and whistles in the grow room, state-of-the-art tech, best nutrients and fanciest spectrum tuning lights…but if your genetics aren’t thriving and performing, then you’re loosing out.

Jordan from speaks on this at the Asia H**p Expo — because without strong and resilient genetics and the pollen chuckers who paved the way, all that investment can go out the door real quick 🏃‍♂️ 🚪 🪴 🍁 🧬
