In Memory of Hans Anthony - 20 Years at STM Trucks & Machinery

It's with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Hans Anthony, who joined STM in 2006 when we first opened our doors at Smeaton Grange. Hans came on board as a steering and suspensions specialist technician, and over the years became one of the most highly regarded in his field - the kind of tradesman other technicians looked up to.

But Hans was more than his skill with a spanner. For 20 years, he showed up with the same reliability and work ethic day after day, and quietly took the time to mentor the younger techs coming through our workshop, passing on knowledge that doesn't come from a manual. Many of the skilled technicians we have today learned from Hans.

A loving father, husband, and good friend to many, Hans leaves behind a legacy at STM that goes far beyond the work he did, it's in the people he trained and the standard he set.

Our thoughts are with Hans's family and all who knew him. He will be sorely missed by everyone at STM.

At STM we keep our promises!

Throughout this State of Origin series our Machinery Service Manager (Nathan) had a bet against one of our Territory Sales Managers (Byren).

Byren proposed if NSW won the 2026 series Nathan needed to dress as Lord Farquaad for a day in office, Nathan being a QLD supporter proposed if QLD won the 2026 series Byren had to dress as Princess Fiona for a day in office.

We all know what the result of this years state vs state mate vs mate series was, today our Smeaton Grange branch were greeted by Lord Farquaad's presence and this is a testament to the morals that STM Trucks & Machinery promote / stand for, we keep our promise no matter what.

Big projects need the right equipment, the right support, and the right partnerships.

Recently, STM was on site with BY Group at their Marsden Park project, a large-scale data centre development in north-western Sydney.

Over the past seven years, BY Group has continued to grow in the civil earthworks and construction space, and STM is proud to have supported that journey with reliable machinery, practical advice and strong after-purchase service.
