🩵✨ GREATER SHEPPARTON BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS ✨🩵

Tomorrow evening is a special one for us! 🥂

We will be closing the workshop early at 3pm, with all vehicles needing to be collected by 2:30pm at the latest.

We want to say a HUGE thank you to absolutely everyone who nominated us, supports our business, cheers us on and continues to be part of our journey. We genuinely wouldn’t be where we are today without the incredible support of our community, and we never take that for granted. 🩵🔧

We are so excited to get dressed up, enjoy the evening, meet some beautiful people and spend time surrounded by like minded business owners who are all working hard to build something special.

We will take as many photos and videos as we can throughout the night and share a little update with you all on Monday! We cannot wait to see how beautiful everyone looks, celebrate the amazing businesses in our community and make some new connections along the way.

Day 2 of bringing tubs of organic mandarins to the shop for people and families who are wanting some beautiful free fresh fruit 🍊
We ran out of bags yesterday from giving away roughly around 50 kg of free mandarins so we do apologise that we have no bags left so if you have bags please bring them. We have about 30 kg of mandarins here today and we will continue to bring some in every day until our tree is empty.

🔧 LOWERING YOUR CAR? DON’T FORGET ABOUT YOUR SHOCKS! 🚗💨

Lowering your car isn’t just about getting that perfect stance. It’s about making sure your suspension still works properly and safely!

The shock in the photo is a shortened rear shock fitted to a lowered ute to solve a common suspension issue. When travelling over undulating roads, the rear springs were wanting to fall out because the suspension was extending too far.

The fix? Shortened shocks to suit the lowered suspension! 👌

⚠️ This applies to ALL lowered vehicles, not just Commodores!

When you fit lowered springs, the original shocks may no longer be suitable for the new ride height and suspension travel. If the suspension droops too far, the springs can lose tension, become loose or even dislodge completely.

That’s not just annoying. It can become a serious safety issue!

✅ Shocks matched to your ride height
✅ Correct suspension travel
✅ Springs that remain properly seated
✅ Better suspension control and safety

💡 The takeaway? Before you lower your car, make sure you consider the whole suspension setup, not just the springs. The correct shocks can make all the difference between a proper suspension setup and one that causes problems down the track.

🔋🚨 YOUR BATTERY SAYS 100%… BUT IS IT ACTUALLY HEALTHY? 👀

This is something we reckon every driver should know!

Just because your battery has a high state of charge DOES NOT mean your battery is in good health. And this is exactly why we test your battery at Manifolds And Mullets Mechanical! 🔧

Let’s break it down. 👇

🔋 STATE OF CHARGE is how much power your battery currently has available.

💪 BATTERY HEALTH is how well your battery can actually perform, including its ability to deliver the power needed to start your vehicle.

You can have a battery showing 100% charge but have terrible battery health. Your alternator might be charging it perfectly, but the battery itself could be worn out and struggling to start your car.

On the flip side, you could have a battery in great health but a low state of charge. This could be caused by a charging system issue, a vehicle sitting for too long, or something drawing power when it shouldn’t.

A fully charged battery doesn’t automatically mean a healthy battery! 💥

A proper battery test helps us assess the battery’s condition and starting performance, while checking the charging system can help identify whether your alternator is doing its job properly.
