This is a 1973 Ford 429 big block engine to suit a rebuild.
As most people know, the 429 is a hard engine to find and a better engine than the 460 (think 289 Vs 302)
It has never been rebuilt and is STANDARD BORE and standard crank journals (4UA crank) still with factory Ford bearings
51 year old virgin engines are thin on the ground.
The engine turns over freely.
I brought this engine as a bare long motor with none of the accessories, they were all used on the replacement engine by the previous owner.
It does have all the head bolts, push rods and rocker arms.
I’ve just bolted a damaged sump (can be fixed) and rocker covers on to help with transporting it.

I’ve just had a phone call from a guy asking when he can come pick up the part he’s brought from me. Problem is, I didn’t sell him anything.
It turns out that some piece of s**t is using my business name and profile picture to make fake listings and scam people out of their hard earned money.
It’s hard enough for me to start and rebuild my business, without having to deal with scammers running my name into the dirt.
My phone number is easy to find (0409254505) so if someone gives you a different number to contact or bank account that’s not in my business name, then it’s a scam.

All the threads are good
There is some corrosion around the water jackets, but it’s not bad enough to affect its use in anyway.
One jacket has a bit of JB weld at the top of it.
Can be mailed at your cost.

Not sure exactly what car the engine came from, but apparently it was a good runner.

The heads have been removed to check the bores.

It’s standard bore and the cylinders all look good, there’s very little lip.
The crank still has the factory bearings

It comes as you see it in the photos.
It has a carby intake to match the EFI heads.

Fits a set of bearings, rings and gaskets and away you go.

It’s been 4 long years since a post has been made on this page.
That’s been due to a very nasty 4 year divorce settlement that has just been finalised.
Now begins the long road of trying to rebuild a business that I spent 15 years building from nothing.
It will be slow, but bare with me.
Thanks to all those who knew what I’ve been going through and their support.
Here’s to better days and onwards and upwards.
