Bringing back our social media star, Dan to break down a common myth he sees throughout our industry🪢

Reality: if your carabiner is correctly loaded, compatible with the system, and used within manufacturer guidelines, orientation isn’t the deciding factor.

Good systems > old myths

A lot’s been happening behind the scenes, so here’s a look at what the team’s been up to.

Team day.
New faces coming on board.
Renovations underway.
On the ground in South Africa scouting the next wave of rope techs.
And a whole lot of rope access in between.

Just a small glimpse into the world of Highpoint🪢

Come with us on site🪢

Our team recently installed concrete-mounted davit bases to form a critical part of the rescue system at this pump station. It was designed to enable safe, and efficient access for when it matters most. In high-risk environments, the systems you put in place ahead of time are the ones that define the outcome.

In our world, assumptions cost us time, and misunderstanding costs us even more.

Curiosity is an integral part of our culture, driving us to ask more questions, and take the time to properly understand not just the environments and systems we work in, but the people behind them.

This level of understanding builds stronger solutions that are considered, efficient, and actually fit the environment they’re designed for. It grows better operators who think deeper, adapt faster, and continue to evolve in every environment they step into.

Most of the industry is still operating on what used to work.

At Highpoint, we’ve never been interested in maintaining outdated systems just because they’re familiar. The environments we operate in are constantly evolving, and that demands a different standard: A standard that prioritises innovation and challenges inefficiencies, instead of working around them.

Stop putting your faith in old processes.

On Monday our team had the privilege to work with special guest Bruce Campbell at our quarterly Team Day, where we create space to connect, think and align on our mission.

Real efficiency starts with understanding.

We take the time to deeply understand our clients’ sites, systems, and processes so we’re not just reacting to challenges, we’re anticipating them. By reducing interfaces and aligning closely with on-site operations, we deliver solutions that are tailored, efficient, and built to perform in the real world.

The best outcomes come from knowing the details others overlook.

This is what it looks like to operate at the top of the industry.

We take on complex access, rigging, and rescue challenges and solve them with precision, safety, and innovation.

But our real strength is our people. Through continuous training, strong values, and a commitment to excellence, we build teams that lead from the front.

When the work is critical, experience matters. Let’s talk about your next project.

When critical infrastructure is compromised, access is everything.

At the Fitzroy River Barrage, debris buildup prevented full gate closure putting Rockhampton’s water supply at risk.

Using specialist rope access, staged stabilisation, and coordinated delivery, the team safely removed approximately 300mÂł of debris and restored full control of the asset.

This project is a snapshot of how our teams work: disciplined, adaptive, and accountable under pressure.

Want in? We’re always looking for high-level rope access technicians who take pride in doing it right.
