ROPS compliance doesn’t just hinge on what happens in the lab, it’s what happens in the field that matters.

We’ve seen it all:
✖️ Certified designs re-created with substitute materials
✖️ Incorrect mounting hardware used during installation
✖️ Welds completed without qualification
✖️ Retrofits carried out without updated certification

These aren’t minor issues, they’re major compliance failures.

Site inspections are getting stricter. In some cases, a perfectly good design has been written off due to improper install or undocumented repair. This leads to machine downtime, increased safety risk, and liability exposure.

At AIG, we solve this by treating every build and install as a compliance process, not just a fabrication job. That includes:

✔️ Full traceability to design
✔️ Documented welding procedures (WPS)
✔️ ISO 9606-certified personnel
✔️ Sign-off packages that satisfy site auditors

📩 Or send us a photo of your install - we’ll tell you if it’s at risk.

Maintenance teams know the equipment that feels like it was designed by someone who never had to maintain it.

The inspection point buried behind another assembly. The routine change-out that requires half the equipment to come apart. The straightforward task that takes far longer than it should.

That isn’t a maintenance problem. It’s a design problem.

Open-cut components need to survive load, fatigue, vibration and impact. But they also need to be engineered for the day someone has to inspect, service, remove or replace them.

Because a component that performs in production but is a nightmare to maintain is still costing the operation.

Got a new open-cut component or structure on the drawing board? Talk to AIG before the maintenance headaches are built in.

50 PSI doors aren’t the kind of equipment you want to think about after they’re installed. They need to be engineered right before they ever head underground.

Pressure rating is only part of the equation. How the door is operated, how airflow can be controlled, how it integrates into the ventilation system, how it is secured and how it will ultimately be installed all need to be considered in the design.

That’s where AIG’s engineering and fabrication capability come together.

Our 50 PSI ventilation doors are engineered and manufactured in-house for underground mining applications, with the practical details considered from fabrication through to installation.

Built for the pressure. Engineered for the job underground.

This QDS Jib had seen better days and was in dire need of a refurb.

QDS refurbishment is not a paint job - the fresh finish is just the part you can see. The condition of the attachment and the work required to keep it operating, is what actually matters.

AIG provides refurbishment solutions across all types of QDS implements, backed by in-house engineering and fabrication capability.

This QDS jib shows the difference a proper workshop refurbishment can make. Same attachment, very different condition.

There’s a lot of noise about “certified” ROPS.
Compliance isn’t about how it looks; it’s about how it performs when it counts.

ISO 3471 and AS 2294.2 set the benchmark. They define static load tests, energy absorption, and protection of the operator’s deflection-limiting volume (DLV) during a roll.

If it hasn’t been tested on a rig, with load applied and deformation measured through to failure or certification, it isn’t compliant.

This wasn’t a paint-and-patch job. This Isuzu FTS 139-260 4x4 arrived with an existing tray and fit-out showing significant wear and corrosion.

The old body was removed and the truck was stripped back to the chassis.

The chassis was prepared and protected with a glass-flake coating before AIG built it back up with a completely new 6.1-metre tray, access steps and ROPS. A Palfinger crane was installed, along with the remaining fit-out configured for lifting, equipment storage, towing and recovery. Extensive auto-electrical work completed the build.

Same truck. Completely new tray and fit-out.

Not every ageing site vehicle needs to be replaced. Sometimes the right rebuild can give it a new working life.

If the truck still has more work in it but the body doesn’t, talk to AIG about a replacement fit-out. Call our team on 07 4930 2122.

Downtime costs money. But fixing the same problem twice costs more.

When critical equipment goes down, the pressure is on to get it running again. Crews are waiting. Production is affected. Every hour matters.

That is when a quick repair can look like the best option.

The problem is, a repair that gets equipment back into service is only useful if it keeps it there.

An improvised weld, substitute material or undocumented change might solve the immediate problem, but without the right inspection, engineering and verification behind it, it can create another one further down the track.

At AIG, we focus on repairs that are built to last. That means qualified welding procedures, material traceability, appropriate inspection and RPEQ engineering where required - backed by AS/NZS ISO 3834-2 welding quality systems.

Because getting equipment back to work quickly matters.
Getting it back to work properly matters more.

Compliance isn’t paperwork. It’s pressure-tested reality.
Anyone can print a certificate.
But when a weld cracks, when an inspection gets delayed, or when a frame starts to give, that paper does not hold the weight.

Real compliance is proven in the workshop, not during an audit.
It is in the welds that hold, the brackets that do not flex, and the reports that back up every job we send out.

At AIG, compliance is not a box to tick. It is how we build.
Every frame, every repair, every project leaves the floor tested, documented, and ready for whatever the site throws at it.

Because the goal is not to scrape through an audit; it is to build something that still passes the test ten years from now.

An automation door should not become another source of downtime.

Underground, these doors operate repeatedly in demanding conditions. When a system becomes unreliable, difficult to service or no longer fit for purpose, the impact extends beyond the door itself. Access is disrupted, crews are delayed and maintenance demands increase.

AIG automation doors are built for high cycle counts, fail-safe operation and straightforward servicing, helping them perform reliably shift after shift.

From new installations to the replacement of outdated systems, we manufacture automation doors built for the conditions in which they operate.

If unreliable door automation is creating delays onsite, talk to our team 📞 07 4930 2122

You don't get a second chance to find out if a ballistic door was built properly.

A ballistic door isn't judged by how it looks. It's judged by how it performs when it's needed.

When a project calls for ballistic protection, every detail matters - Engineering, material selection, manufacturing tolerances, welding quality, surface preparation, fitment, quality assurance... If one element falls short, the integrity of the entire assembly can be compromised.

At All Industries, we apply the same engineering, fabrication and quality standards to ballistic doors as we do every critical project. From design through to final inspection, every stage is completed with precision, traceability and strict quality control.

Ballistic doors demand more than skilled fabrication. They require engineering expertise, experienced tradespeople and disciplined manufacturing processes that deliver consistent, repeatable outcomes.

Because when performance matters most, there is no room for assumptions.
