Last night, we were reunited with Ane and Arthur at our home!
They are truly one of the most beautiful couples from Tonga we’ve ever met.
Back in June 2023, PICSA reached out to us to see if we could help transfer them over to us. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of getting to know them and witnessing firsthand how kind, caring, and hardworking they are.
They returned home in March 2024, and unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, they weren’t able to come back right away. But by some miracle, they were selected through the PEV program and after two years of patience, they are finally back with us!
Your loyalty and respect means so much to us! We are truly grateful to have you here again and look forward to many more years together. Welcome back!
Thank you πŸ§‘πŸ–€

We visited all homes by every worker that resides on the small island of Vao.
We covered about 10km in 4.5 hours zig-zagging across the island.
So many families were so welcoming and wanted to show appreciation for having their family member work in Australia!
You can see how many workers build better quality homes that can shelter them from the elements. The tin roofs allow them to collect rain water into a tank!
There are no vehicles on this island so all materials and water for cement were carried to site from the main entry to the island!
Our workers and their families were very proud to show us what they have been able to do! πŸ‡»πŸ‡Ί 🧑 πŸ–€

We arrived to a very warm welcome once again. Our workers, their families, and their whole community are so happy to have us come visit! They put a lot of time and effort into this day and we appreciate them very much!

This island is very isolated and off grid!
No running water, only wells.
No electricity, only solar and generators.

To top off yesterday, we visited all the nearby homes of the workers. Every single worker now has a home or it's under construction. There were a few others that have homes but were further away. 🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠
What an amazing achievement by them all to be able to increase their quality of life!! πŸ§‘πŸ–€
