ACT Steelworks is seeking experienced Boilermakers / Welders to join our team.

We specialise in structural steel fabrication and work on a range of large and high-profile projects. We are looking for tradespeople who take pride in their workmanship, work well within a team, and are committed to producing quality outcomes.

Role Responsibilities
• Structural steel fabrication and welding
• Reading and interpreting shop drawings
• Maintaining quality and accuracy in fabrication work
• Contributing to a safe and productive workshop environment

Requirements
• Trade qualified Boilermaker / Fabricator (preferred)
• Strong welding and fabrication skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Reliable and team-focused approach to work

On Saturday, our team took on a back-to-basics fabrication challenge. Building a simple SHS frame with flat bar infills using only limited hand tools and a 5-inch grinder.

With a wide range of capabilities and experience levels across our team, this test was a great way to highlight everyone’s individual strengths. While our workshop is equipped with elite-level CNC machinery, it’s just as important that our tradespeople stay sharp in the fundamentals. Receiving a job, selecting materials, and fabricating with minimal equipment and a specific timeframe.

Proud of the skills, precision, and old-school craftsmanship on display!🔥
