Tubi Style is proud to introduce the latest evolution of its product line: the new “straight pipe” exhaust system in Inconel, specifically designed for the Ferrari 296.

Crafted entirely from Inconel to ensure maximum lightness and durability, this exhaust system eliminates the factory-installed GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) and comes equipped with our proprietary GPF Emulator, included in the kit.

The electronic emulator connects easily in a “piggy-back” configuration, simulating the presence of the original GPF and preventing any warning lights from appearing on the dashboard — all without requiring any ECU modifications.

Why Choose Our System with GPF Emulator?
In recent months, several dealers have reported that some competitors are promoting exhaust systems that claim to prevent the check engine light from turning on without any additional hardware — no emulator, no OBD eraser, no ECU remap. According to these claims, the steel alone in their exhausts is enough to “trick” the OEM ECU.

We’ve investigated these claims and identified two key points:

200-cell catalytic converters replacing the GPF
In many cases, the GPF is removed and replaced with a 200-cell sports catalyst. This means one restrictive element is swapped for another — perhaps more refined in materials (e.g. iridium), but not necessarily more effective in terms of sound flow and performance. We plan to further analyse the acoustic permeability of these solutions.

Mandatory ECU remapping despite initial claims
While the marketing may suggest that no intervention is needed, official product pages often state that ECU remapping is required to avoid triggering the check engine light.

Our GPF Emulator is an active electronic component that simulates the presence of the original filter. It connects easily in a piggy-back configuration and can be updated if needed, ensuring long-term compatibility and reliability — without compromising the vehicle’s electronics or requiring ECU modifications.


Compared to OBD-Based Error Suppression Modules
Unlike generic OBD error erasers, our solution offers a clear technical advantage:
It selectively blocks only the error signals related to GPF removal, while leaving the rest of the vehicle’s diagnostic and recovery systems fully operational.

This means that all other fault detection and safety protocols remain active — protecting both the car and the driver — while ensuring that the check engine light does not appear due to the absence of the GPF.
