Port Lincoln Hire is a locally owned and operated equipment hire business providing quality equipment and outstanding service to customers across the Eyre Peninsula. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated and organised Hire Controller to join our team.
About the Role
As the Hire Controller, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our business. You'll be responsible for coordinating equipment hire, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring our fleet is organised and ready to meet customer needs.
Your Responsibilities
• Managing equipment hire bookings from enquiry through to return.
• Preparing hire agreements, invoices, and other documentation.
• Coordinating equipment deliveries and collections.
• Scheduling servicing, maintenance, and inspections of hire equipment.
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and workshop staff.
• Answering phone and email enquiries.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring equipment availability.
• Assisting with general administration and supporting the team where required.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Is highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Has strong computer skills and can quickly learn new systems.
• Works well under pressure and enjoys solving problems.
• Has a positive attitude and a willingness to be part of a close-knit team.
• Previous experience in the hire, construction, transport, or machinery industry is preferred but not essential.
