🚨 New Project | 10.5m Marine Rescue RIB for Marine Rescue Derby 🚨
We're proud to share this latest collaboration between Grist Designs and Groundswell Designs: a 10.5m Marine Rescue Vessel being delivered for Marine Rescue Derby through DFES, and built by Cordina Marine. Designed around twin Cox 300hp diesel outboards, this vessel combines commercial-grade reliability, efficiency and performance in a purpose-built rescue platform.
Featuring a robust aluminium hull and foam-filled D-collars, the vessel has been developed as a highly capable aluminium RIB, providing enhanced buoyancy, stability, impact protection and safer rescue operations.
A key client requirement was full compliance with NSCV Class 2C survey requirements at a 12-36 hour accommodation level for two crew. Every aspect of the design, from the spacious working deck and dedicated rescue zones to the enclosed wheelhouse and long-range fuel capacity, has been developed around the operational needs of Marine Rescue Derby.
This project highlights what the partnership between Grist Designs and Groundswell Designs is all about: delivering practical, production-ready vessel designs that balance operator requirements, survey compliance and build efficiency without compromising capability.
