👏 Employee of the Month – May 2026 👏

Jefferson was recently asked to deliver training to our installation team on a large and complex project. This assignment required Jefferson to step outside of his usual mining environment and adapt to a new and challenging project setting.

Jefferson embraced the challenge with professionalism, commitment and a positive attitude. The feedback received from both Murray’s installation team and, in particular, our client, was extremely positive and highlighted the quality of his delivery and engagement.

Jefferson’s willingness to take on new challenges, represent the business professionally and deliver high-quality outcomes is a great example of our company values in action.

Please join us in congratulating Jefferson on this well-deserved recognition.

👏Two major rebuilds leaving Pinjarra and heading back to work underground.

This Sandvik TH663i and CAT R1700G have recently completed full ground-up rebuild programs through our workshop and are now on their way back to site.

During our rebuild process, every machine undergoes detailed inspection, component assessment, repair and testing to ensure it returns to site ready for the demands of underground production.

With 15 dedicated heavy rebuild bays, in-house fabrication capability, clean room assembly and dyno testing facilities, our team delivers rebuild solutions designed to maximise machine life, improve reliability and reduce total cost of ownership.

Whether it is a complete zero-hour rebuild, mid-life rebuild or major repair scope, we work closely with customers to deliver a rebuild program that suits their operational requirements.

🛑 If you run a fleet of underground drills, you should be protecting your team from boom entanglement 👇

In underground drilling operations, nippers, offsiders and other personnel are often working in close proximity to the serious hazards of moving booms and machinery. Implementing additional safeguards is critical in preventing serious injury.

That’s why JumboGuard exists- an automatic boom isolation system designed specifically for underground drill fleets, developed right here in Australia.

👷‍♂️ How does it work?
Using advanced laser scanner technology, JumboGuard continuously monitors for unexpected persons moving around the machine and instantly halts boom activity if someone enters the danger zone.

Built for harsh underground conditions, the system operates reliably in water, dust, heat, spray, and vibration-heavy environments.

Keep your team safe from harm:
👉Eliminate the risk of "human factor" errors in boom isolation.
👉Prevent entanglement with audible "release warning" and "release delay" signals.
👉Ensure safe start-up with initial boom isolation, requiring operator confirmation.
👉Achieve peace of mind with best-practice safety measures implemented for underground drilling operations.

Designed to retrofit all makes and models of underground drilling equipment, including:
🔧Face drill rigs
🔧Rock bolters
🔧Cable bolters

JumboGuard is already operating in mines across Western Australia, South Australia, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory, helping sites strengthen their approach to drill safety.

🎓 Another group of Mobile Plant Service Technicians ready to hit site!

Over the past two weeks, our latest intake has completed practical training at Murray Engineering’s Pinjarra facility, gaining hands-on experience working on underground mining equipment in a real-world workshop environment.

Graduates leave the program with nationally recognised accreditation in RIISAM212E – Service Mine Plant and Equipment, along with the practical skills required to support safe and efficient underground operations.

With training now complete, the group will head to site to carry out servicing and planned maintenance across underground trucks, loaders, and integrated tool carriers.

A big thank you to Mark (right) for leading the course and sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of technicians 👏

👷 Inspiring the Next Generation of Mining Professionals 👷‍♀️

We recently welcomed a group of students to our Pinjarra facility as part of one of the WA Mining Club’s 2026 Get into Mining Camps.

During the visit, students toured our Mechanical, Fabrication, Electrical, Pumping, and Light Vehicle workshops, gaining a behind-the-scenes look at the equipment and work that supports underground mining operations.

It was a great opportunity to highlight the variety of trades and career pathways available in the mining services sector, and to give students a clearer understanding of how to get started in the industry.

A big thank you to the WA Mining Club for continuing to drive this initiative, and to the students for their engagement and interest throughout the visit!

Watch 6 hours of underground time-lapse footage condensed into 52 seconds.

The footage in this video shows a real underground bogger retrieval using our RetrieveME machine retrieval system.

Recovering and repairing a trapped machine is far more cost-effective than purchasing a brand-new replacement - saving your site both time and capital.

Our underground machine retrieval service is designed to:

âś…Minimise disruption to site operations
âś…Retrieve assets safely without putting personnel in the line of fire
âś…Reduce extended downtime
âś…Avoid premature machine replacement

This real-world recovery demonstrates a controlled, methodical extraction carried out by our specialist team using remote operation and live visual feedback.

Recover. Don’t Replace.

If your site needs a practical contingency plan for underground equipment recovery, our team is ready to assist. Contact our team now.

🙌 Please join us in congratulating Bronte Currie, our Employee of the Month for April 2026!

Bronte is a key part of our Pumping Team and consistently steps up to support operations. She regularly takes on extra shifts and, on several occasions, has covered the workload of two people during swings while others were on leave, all without hesitation.

Her strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude set a high standard across the team. It’s the kind of effort that keeps things moving and makes a real difference on site.

Recognised by both her teammates and management, this award reflects Bronte’s commitment to her role and the wider Murray Engineering team.

Well done, Bronte, and thank you for being part of the team đź’Ş
