This fully equipped blast and paint shed combines a self‑contained Protoblast blast chamber with a large open painting and lay‑down area, providing an efficient and well‑controlled workflow from surface preparation through to coating.

The blast chamber features a Protoblast abrasive recovery system, with roller doors at either end and integrated rail systems to allow smooth movement of components, maximising efficiency and productivity.

This installation represents the second rollout of Protoblast’s Rubber Roller Door, following its launch last year. Designed to save space and remove the manual handling associated with traditional swing doors, it’s a practical upgrade for modern blast chamber operations.

Currently, the project is under final testing and commissioning for a leading steel fabrication company specialising in structural steel and metalwork packages.

Engineered to roll vertically, the Rubber Roller Door maximises usable floor space while improving safety by eliminating heavy manual door handling. It can also be retrofitted to existing blast chambers, making it a smart solution for both new installations and facility upgrades.

This week, our service team is on site in Queensland and Victoria, delivering preventive maintenance support for our customers. Work carried out includes servicing an air valve on a blast pot and replacing pulleys and bearings on an older bucket elevator system, as well as a routine health check for a spinner hanger machine.
