The 2026 Orthocell Nerve Symposium in Sydney has concluded after an outstanding few days of scientific exchange, surgical education and clinical collaboration.

This year’s programme brought together leading faculty from the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Ukraine and Australia to discuss advances in peripheral nerve repair, including brachial plexus reconstruction, sensation restoration following mastectomy, upper and lower limb nerve injury, spinal cord injury, histological evaluation of non-crosslinked acellular collagen materials and real-world clinical experience with Remplir™.

The symposium also featured a hands-on cadaveric workshop, providing consultants, fellows and trainees with the opportunity to further develop their skills under the guidance of experienced international nerve surgeons.

A recurring theme throughout the meeting was the importance of improving the biological and surgical environment for nerve repair. We were pleased to hear faculty and first-time users share their practical experience with Remplir™, including feedback on its handling characteristics, epineurial-like structure and role in supporting contemporary approaches to peripheral nerve repair.

Orthocell is proud to have co-sponsored this important educational event alongside Device Technologies. We thank the faculty, delegates, clinical partners and organising teams who contributed to a highly valuable forum for advancing peripheral nerve care.

Events like this reflect Orthocell’s ongoing commitment to supporting surgeon education, global clinical collaboration and the continued development of regenerative medicine solutions for nerve repair.

Orthocell is excited to be attending the Tristate Hand Surgery Meeting in Cincinnati on 5 June, supporting awareness of Remplir™ among leading hand surgery faculty, fellows and clinicians from Louisville, Indianapolis and Cincinnati.

As one of the longstanding traditions in hand surgery education, the meeting brings together three of the nation’s oldest hand surgery programs to share state-of-the-art scientific studies and clinical insights.

We look forward to connecting with the hand surgery community and discussing the role of Remplir in peripheral nerve repair.
