Put the new casual straight onto the apple tree. The SR-1 looks unusually compact in his hands.

Sound on for this one.

Japanese weeding tools hit different.

Three new Azui Japanese garden tools tested in rough sandy soil.

The cultivator breaks up clumps and loosens soil. The hoe cuts and clears around weeds. The weeding rake pulls through grass, roots and loose debris.

Simple tools, made for actual garden work.

Azui Japanese garden tools now available at East West Tools.

Three new Takemoto sickles are now live on the website.

Each one has a different blade shape and use, from tighter pruning jobs through to general garden clean-up and weeding.

I’ve added them to the Takemoto collection now.

Three new Japanese sickles are being added to the range.

A compact 90mm Piccolo, a 90mm long-handle version, and a proper left-handed sickle.

These came from customer feedback at Kalamunda Garden Festival, so I took them out today to test them properly before they go live.

Stop putting dirty secateurs back in the toolbox. A quick clean and oil makes a big difference.

After use, wipe sap and dirt from the blade, add a little oil to the pivot, work the handles a few times, then store your secateurs dry.

Japanese secateurs are made to cut cleanly, but they still need basic care if you want them to stay smooth.

Packed in Perth. Maintenance gear available at East West Tools.
