The STS Leeuwin II set sail from the SeaReady dry dock facility today! ⚓️
A huge team effort from our JV partners Fremantle Foundry & Engineering Co Pty Ltd., Orontide and EJ Electrical, along with many others who helped make this project a success.

You can officially welcome the Leeuwin home tomorrow at the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation Port Party — a family-friendly event celebrating the return of this iconic tall ship to B Berth, Victoria Quay in Fremantle, Friday 24 October from 3-6:30 PM.

SeaReady supports Rio Tinto’s Gurrgura with specialist repairs

The Gurrgura is currently berthed at the Common User Facility under SeaReady, where we have safely removed her 40T winch for emergency repair.

The works are being delivered in collaboration with our trusted partners:
🔹 EJ Electrical – winch disconnection
🔹 Fremantle Foundry & Engineering Co Pty Ltd. – disconnection and workshop repair
🔹 Orontide – preservation post-repair

Masts up on the Leeuwin II!

The three new masts, fabricated at Fremantle Foundry & Engineering Co Pty Ltd. and finished by Orontide, have been delivered to SeaReady and installed as part of this iconic restoration.

Next, the Leeuwin II will undergo blasting and specialised painting by Orontide, onsite at the SeaReady facility within the AMC.

What a privilege to have worked on this amazing tall ship!

A huge thank you to Fremantle Foundry, Vulcan Engineering and the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation for their dedication throughout the three-day installation.

We can’t wait to see her in all her glory as she prepares to sail back to Victoria Quay in just a few weeks!

A big week for SeaReady!

We are honoured to have received the Spirit of Leeuwin Award at the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation Spirit of Leeuwin Volunteer Awards Night.

This award is a testament to the collaboration between the SeaReady team and our JV partners – Orontide, Fremantle Foundry & Engineering Co Pty Ltd. and EJ Electrical. Together, we’re proud to have played a role in the restoration of the Leeuwin, helping preserve this iconic vessel for the community and future generations.

We were also privileged to attend Government House to celebrate the Leeuwin’s rebrand, with a new corporate logo unveiled alongside the incredible progress on her restoration.
