25 Years with WA Gears — Precision, Family, and a Lifetime in the Workshop
Today marks 25 years with WA Gears — but my journey really started long before that.
One of my earliest memories is being 6 years old in the workshop, helping my father and being fascinated by gear cutting machines that were bigger than me and the work that he did. Those early days sparked a passion that never left me.
At 16, I joined full-time straight from school, working alongside my father and, later, my brother. I learned the craft the traditional way — hands-on, day in and day out — where precision, patience, and pride in the result mattered.
Over the past 25 years, I’ve specialised in:
• Precision and complex gear cutting
• Custom and one-off gear solutions
• High-accuracy CNC machining
• Fast turnaround service to keep customers moving
In that time, I’ve taken only three months of holidays — not out of necessity, but because I genuinely enjoy the work, the challenge, and the satisfaction of getting things right when it counts.
WA Gears has always been more than a business to me.
It’s family.
It’s craftsmanship.
It’s a legacy built on dedication, skill, and doing the job properly.
