Here’s a set of VB - VS 80L tanks we have just built.

One houses an Aeromotive in-tank pump hanger unit we have just made for a customers VL.

The other is for an external fuel pump with a -10 pickup, 8 breather & return, and a custom fuel sender with 282-40 ohms to suit factory dash requirements.

It also comes with stainless steel straps & rubbers to fit factory mount points.

We had Brad’s twin turbo small block EK in for some upgrades as he wasn’t confident in the original cage.

Between fab, paint, electrical & tune, the timeframe is pretty tight as it’s heading over to Street Machine Drag Challenge in October.

Work Carried Out:

▪️ Removal of original cage
▪️ New 6 Point cage with additional v-bars in the roof & extra bar work to tie into the floor in order to give the car extra strength
▪️ Tube work to tie in the front end as the front clip unbolts & we were worried about it twisting to the body
▪️ New set of matching Kirkey seats

+ many other small background jobs as usual!

The car will be back after paint for a new Plazmaman water to air intercooler as the original one leaked like a sieve, along with fresh pipework to match.

Mark’s big block Camaro came in to make his new rims & tyre combination fit. They were a monster 29 x 18 x 15” tyre!

The car already had a 4-link, coilovers and 9” completed by another shop, long before Mark owned it, which didn’t require moving as it fitted with the new chassis rails.

We also built the car to sit about 2.5” lower than it sits in the final picture, but had to be raised up to suit 18” rims for skids.

Work completed
▪️New rear chassis rails
▪️Move the coilovers inwards
▪️Brace the entire rear end & bead rolled tin work
▪️Jack point
▪️3mm tubs
▪️Bash plates
▪️Twin 4” exhaust with 5” tips
▪️100L Fuel Cell
▪️New dry sump tank to match original tanks in car
▪️Breather tank
▪️Plumb all new work in Speedflow lines & fittings, ready to head off to Chevpower to be fired up

As always there were many other small jobs along the way to tie everything together.

In between the large builds there are always plenty of tanks heading out in all shapes and sizes 😀

What a year it has been so far! We have been so busy, hence the lack of posts on here.

Here is one of the builds that has just left with a few before & after pics.

Originally came in for front tanks & exhaust, and left as a complete running car.

Here is a scaled down list of jobs carried out..
▪️ Flat firewall & smoothed engine bay
▪️ Hidden water, breather & overflow tanks in the front guards, as well as power steering and remote oil filter all in the front bumper
▪️ 100L fuel tank
▪️ Twin 3.5” stainless steel exhaust
▪️ Tube x-member
▪️ Convert blower manifold to EFI, v-plate, burst panel & weld top plate on
▪️ Fit-up of complete car
▪️ Plumb entire car in Speedflow hose & fittings
+ many other jobs to finish the car off

The owner was very specific that he didn’t want the tanks & fuel lines in the engine bay, as he wanted it as bare as possible.

The car was sent to Shiftkits Australia for complete wiring harness & half the Haltech catalogue 😂

It left for its journey back to Karratha last week, with a very happy owner!
