ZANNA is a book about rhino protection that we are sharing to highlight the alarming decline of rhino populations in Africa and Asia.
Three years ago, following an appeal from an anti-poaching authority, Optima Press explored how we could play a part—however small—in addressing this crisis.
Since then, around 1,500 rhinos have been lost to poaching.
It prompts a difficult question: what have we done to stop it?
The truth is, until now, not enough.
That is why, with the author’s permission, Optima Press has reprinted ZANNA—to help raise awareness and inspire action.
You can make a difference by reading ZANNA, passing it on to others who care,

During a recent visit to Namibia, guests experienced walking among free-roaming white rhinos — something truly special, and only possible through constant protection on the ground.

That encounter left a lasting impression and led to the Australian reprint of Zanna – Rhino Protection in Practice, originally published by ONE Namibia.

The book offers an honest look at what rhino conservation really means in practice — on the ground, every day.
