What you see from the front is only half the job.

This custom dash is heading into a Hydra-Sports 2500VX, built from our 10mm matte black acrylic and designed to bring the boat’s switching, electronics and lighting controls together into one clean layout.

The main switching uses our black 20A NBB push-button switches with blue LED rings, with stainless NBB switches used for the anchor up/down controls.

We’ve also incorporated the switch inputs for the Shadow-Caster lighting controller, allowing the boat’s lighting functions to be controlled directly from the dash alongside the rest of the systems.

The details that finish it off:

• 10mm matte black acrylic
• Hand-sanded and polished radius edges
• Reverse-mounted studs with no fixings visible from the front
• Custom backlit Hydra-Sports and Shadow-Caster branding
• Fully pre-wired and labelled harness
• Cut and drill plate supplied for installation

The front needs to look right, but the back needs to make the installer’s job easier too. Mount the dash, run the harness, cut to length and terminate.

This customers Sealegs 7.7 has undergone a complete refit, with the helm getting a full overhaul as part of the build.

We manufactured the new dash panel package from our 10mm matte black material, with every exposed edge hand-polished with a radius finish.

The panels use reverse-mounted stud fixings, keeping visible mounting hardware off the face and giving the finished dash a much cleaner look.

We incorporated the electronics into the new layout along with our Nauti Boat Bits 20A push-button switches, blue LED backlighting and custom backlit Sealegs logo’s to tie everything together.

A fair bit of work goes into a dash like this before it ever makes it onto the boat, but that’s exactly the sort of custom work we love doing.

Sometimes making the panel is the easy part. Making it fit is where things get interesting.

This Robalo R222 came to us for a major dash upgrade, including going from a single Lowrance 9” ito dual Lowrance displays and a complete switch upgrade.

There was one catch.

The original dash wasn’t a single flat mounting surface. It was made up of three different surface planes, which meant simply cutting a new flat panel wasn’t going to work.

So we 3D scanned the console, designed the new dash around the available space and reverse machined the rear of the panel to accommodate the factory geometry.

That gave us one clean mounting surface up front for the new Lowrance HDS Pro 10 and HDS Pro 12, Fusion RA210 and a bank of our 20A Nauti Boat Bits push button switches.

The original Yamaha 6Y9 display also had to go somewhere, so we designed and 3D printed a dedicated housing and relocated it inside the console while we waiting for the Yamaha to Lowrance Comms cable.

The result is a completely different helm without having to rebuild the original fibreglass console.

This is the sort of custom work we love.
