Some of the best leadership moments happen outside the office. Yesterday, Sarah Halpin, the CEO of GMK Logistics, stepped into the passenger seat alongside Darren on the Bathurst run to experience first-hand what drivers face on the road every single day.

With the Mitchell Causeway, better known as the Convict Bridge, currently closed, drivers are navigating steep, winding diversions around Lithgow, with tow trucks and traffic control on standby. It was a powerful reminder of the skill, resilience, and professionalism required behind the wheel to keep Australia moving.

The journey also highlighted just how far modern transport equipment has evolved. Riding in a DAF CF 450 delivered a smooth, safe, and seriously comfortable experience, combining driver comfort, power, and advanced technology built for the demands of Australian transport.
