Every tonne of material starts its journey on the ROM pad. From there, the loader becomes the link between the mine and the processing plant, feeding material into the primary crusher and setting the pace for everything that follows.

The primary crusher is designed to take large run-of-mine rock and reduce it to a size that can be moved efficiently through the rest of the plant. A mineral processing plant is a material-flow system.

Every structure, conveyor, screen and transfer point has to be positioned in the right place so material can move efficiently through the plant from one stage to the next.
