Located in Western Australia’s South West, Vasse Village by Bunbury Farmers Market features one of Lazco Refrigeration’s signature curved coldplate display cabinets.

This unique coldplate display required extensive design, engineering, and product development before manufacturing commenced. The curved, cascading design presented significant refrigeration challenges, requiring careful thermal modelling and custom fabrication to ensure consistent performance throughout the cabinet.

Our engineering team successfully integrated refrigeration into every step and shelf as the display cascades downward. This ensures the ice and beverages remain consistently chilled across the entire display, despite the open-front, static refrigeration design.

We think they have dressed this cabinet wonderfully with the rainbow assortment of fresh juices. ✨

Lazco was commissioned to design and manufacture a custom central bar cabinet and corridor wine wall for Vintners Wine Bar by McHenry Hohnen Wines.

This stunning new venue in Witchcliffe serves as a cellar door, complete with restaurant, bar, and a log fire tasting room.

Our 8-door wine fridge, finished in matte black, stands as a striking feature along the back wall. Soft-glow LED lighting has been integrated to contrast against the dark cabinetry and highlight the wine display.

The central bar cabinet not only showcases chilled wines but also delivers full functionality — featuring a benchtop with surround rail and integrated bottle racks for CO₂ storage.

We’re looking forward to heading down this winter to experience it firsthand! 🍷 🔥

A refined balance of structure, materiality, and brand presence.

Lazco Refrigeration has completed a custom Aperol and Campari display for Island Market, designed with both visual impact and structural integrity in mind.

The welded Perspex shelving system secures bottles of Aperol and Campari without interrupting sightlines. The transparency of the material allows the product to remain the focal point, while integrated backlit LED lighting enhances depth and presence during evening service.

The shelving is supported by a custom multi-level suspended frame, powder-coated in a neutral grey to integrate seamlessly with the venue’s architectural palette. Designed with industrial precision, the frame accommodates planting and high-volume glass bottle loads while maintaining a clean, restrained aesthetic.

Lazco Refrigeration has travelled to Melbourne to complete an electronic expansion valve (EEV) upgrade on the Afinox plasma freezers operated by the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood. With plasma-derived therapies playing an increasingly critical role in modern medicine—including immunoglobulins and clotting factors—optimising freezing performance is essential. Rapid temperature pull-down preserves protein integrity and increases production throughput without expanding infrastructure. The upgrade integrates advanced EEV control modules into the existing systems, providing precise refrigerant modulation and improved superheat control compared to conventional strategies. Using calibrated water packs fitted with data loggers, Lazco has been analysing thermal profiles to identify inefficiencies and fine-tune valve parameters under production-like conditions.

Results to date have been positive, with measurable reductions in pull-down cycle times, improved evaporator stability, and real-time valve position visibility for engineers and contractors. This enhanced transparency allows earlier fault detection, more accurate diagnostics, and improved maintenance planning in a high-reliability medical environment. System qualification is currently underway and, subject to successful validation, the upgraded modules are expected to be deployed across additional Lifeblood production laboratories, demonstrating Lazco’s capability to deliver advanced refrigeration control solutions within mission-critical medical infrastructure. 🩸 🏥 🚑

Lazco was commissioned to restore and re-engineer the island bench cabinet at this gnarabup coastal home, with a strong focus on performance, longevity, and integrated design. The original cabinet suffered from persistent condensation due to an engineering oversight in the initial insulation specification.

As part of the upgrade, the original solid end door was reconfigured into a glass-fronted wine and drinks display. This was engineered to maintain thermal performance while introducing visual transparency, complemented by low-heat, soft-glow LED lighting. The result is a functional refrigeration cabinet that also operates as a feature element, particularly effective during evening entertaining.

The large solid timber benchtop has been retained as a central design element and functional surface. Its scale and layout support multiple uses, including food preparation, serving, and informal bar dining, allowing guests to gather comfortably while enjoying views across Margaret River.

A full electrical upgrade was carried out, incorporating Wi-Fi enabled refrigeration controllers. This provides the client with remote monitoring and control of cabinet performance, including temperature stability and power consumption. The ability to monitor energy usage is particularly valuable for a holiday home, offering both operational transparency and peace of mind when the property is unattended.

Lazco has been engaged to engineer and commission another bespoke cocktail cart.

The brief was to deliver a one-off statement piece that not only serves as a fully mobile drinks station, but also functions as a standout visual feature.

The trolley has been entirely fabricated from high-grade 316 mirror-finish stainless steel, incorporating Rimex patterned metal as a key design element. Due to its high polish and pre-dimpled surface, this material allows virtually no margin for error and demands an elevated level of craftsmanship.

Achieving this result requires exceptional precision in both welding and fabrication, ensuring the final product meets the highest aesthetic and functional standards.

The result is a true one-of-one trolley that reflects light, carries warm tones, and captures attention from every angle.

Lazco would like to thank you for another great year of working together across the service, manufacturing, and construction sides of our business. We could not do what we do without your continued support, and we feel very fortunate to work with such good people.

We wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year spent with family and friends. We will be ready to hit the ground running in 2026.

Our office and manufacture division will be closed from the 23rd to the 5th.

As always, our service teams will remain available for all current clients who hold maintenance contracts with Lazco.
