A fine layer of grain dust on a motor housing or control cabinet doesn't trigger the same instinct as a fuel leak or an exposed cable. But it's still a fuel and it can hide in places that's easy to stop noticing.
On top of enclosures, around conveyors, on cable. The longer a surface goes unnoticed, the more it collects, and the easier it is to assume it's always looked like that.
Once the dust becomes airborne, that's where the problem lies. All that's needed is an ignition source for a potential explosion.
Good housekeeping isn't just about the areas everyone can see. It's the areas nobody's looking at that tend to matter most.
