METAL FABRICATORS (TRADESMAN) - POSITION AVAILABLE

MJS Metal Fabrication | Penrith NSW | Full-time, Permanent | Workshop-based

Quick facts
Hours: Mon–Thu (8-hour days), Fri (6 hours)
Overtime: Available if you want it (optional)
Work mix: Around 75% workshop, 25% client site work
Vehicle for site work: Provided
Pay: $40–$50 per hour + super + overtime (based on experience)

About the role
We’re a family-run metal fabrication business in Penrith building new products for the construction industry. You’ll be fabricating and assembling quality work in the workshop, with some onsite install and fit-up to keep things varied. You'll have both mig and tig welding projects.

Typical work includes:
Handrails and balustrades
Shop fit-out components
General fabricated products for construction projects
Workshop fabrication plus occasional onsite install work

Our Performance Benchmark:
You can read drawings accurately and raise questions early if something’s unclear
Your work is neat, consistent, and doesn’t need constant rework
You communicate well, take ownership, and can work independently when needed
You work safely in the workshop and on site

About you
Trade-qualified Metal Fabricator (required)
Confident interpreting detailed drawings
White Card (required)
Driver’s licence (required)
Reliable, practical, and takes pride in doing the job properly

We supplied and installed curved structural steel and mesh panels for a brand new amenities building. Here is a look at the end result.
