Well about 4 weeks ago it seem we had experienced a power surge through our balancing machine. Considering we use this machine daily it was not a good thing. Well long story short, 2 shipments of parts out of the USA and countless thousands later happy that our machine has received a full latest upgrade to all the new software and program available. The support from the machine manufacturer in the states has been awesome trying to get us up and going asap.
Now just need to get through weeks worth of balancing.

We can now re face lifters. We purchased this old repco lifter facer in average condition late last year, we ended up doing a full refurb on it and is running mint.
If you have any lifters or buckets need facing don’t hesitate to call.

UPDATE: machine has found a new home, thanks to everyone.

If anyone is interested I am moving on a bohlm HFS-6 surface grinder. It is 3 phase, have the manuals. It is working for the most part. Does have a spindle oil leak not sure from where. Has served us well but no longer needed and can use the space for something else.

We recently had Danny Castro drop his SR20 off out of his improved production Nissan Silvia for a freshen up before the new season. The engine has done basically 2 seasons of work with racing and dyno development.
The engine was in really good condition, basically just needing bearing, new pistons as they were all cracked under the pin bosses and rod bolts.

Just want to say a merry Christmas to all of our customers, suppliers, friend’s and families thanks for everyone’s support over the year. We will be reopening on the 5th of January with a new face joining our team. Alex will be starting his apprenticeship with us.
Looking forward to doing it all again next year.

Here a 427 cleveland we finished up not long ago for Peter. It's a Arrow block, we had lifter bore locations corrected and bushed, They were no where near right, full block machined, S**t 4340 4.0" crank internally balanced, SCM 4V CNC heads with dual plane manifold to suit, 11.2:1 comp, hydraulic roller cam and a 950cfm carb on top. Great street engine with 548ft/lbs and 586hp should be great with a manual behind it.

Got to be happy with that on 98. Nice little 403ci LS we built for a customer, had Gerald at Springwood car care fit fuel system, wiring , engine fit out and tune. 👌

Here is a early headed 355 Holden we finished up not long ago for one of our customers to put in his SLR5000 Torana he is doing a resto on.
Hydraulic roller cam, cnc ported heads, all the other normal holden stroker stuff.
Made a good 492hp at 6600rpm, 427ft/lbs at 5200rpm. Should be real nice on the street with a manual behind it.

We are currently seeking a qualified engine reconditioner or a motivated apprentice who wants to build a long-term career in the automotive machining trade.

👨‍🔧 The Role Includes:
• Engine strip-down and assembly (petrol & diesel)
• Cylinder head servicing, pressure testing, and re-facing
• Boring, honing, grinding, valve seat cutting, etc.
• Use of micrometers and measuring tools
• General workshop support and equipment maintenance

• Experience in engine machining (for qualified applicants), or…
• A mechanically minded person ready to learn (apprentices welcome)
