A recent structural steel job completed for a local council sports field.

There’s lots of detail in these jobs with orientation of base plates, cleats, angles etc but nothing Trippett Engineerig cant handle

This went together with no issues which makes for an easy day with the crane.

Reinstalling the grizzly on this Tesab crusher after a few crack repairs were completed.

A recent Engcon style batter bucket rebuild.

This little bucket just got an overhaul with a new floor, walls, edge and wear strips all out of Australian made steel.

Whilst it was getting work done there was a few cracks repaired in the hitch, as well as a fish plate installed on the head bracket to give it some strength.

Slew ring locking bar designed, fabricated and installed for this truck mount piling rig!

An easy job to finish off the week using the new miller big blue 800 to install this fail safe locking bar.

On another note what a great looking machine this new truck mount piling rig is paired up with the Volvo!

These truck mounts aren’t as popular as they used to be but definitely have an under-utilised spot in the market for doing work.

They provide cheaper mobilisation costs, great for side of the road piles only needing one lane closure, and are ideal for remote piles.

At the end of all that, how great is it to see local companies investing in new and improved gear for the construction market!

A structural steel job we’ve been undertaking for a local builder.

It was a good chance to test out the new big blue 800 with at times 3 blokes running off it.

Some recent belly pans re-manufactured for a Kobelco 38t excavator.

These were upsized from 8mm mild steel to 12mm Bisalloy 80 to prevent future damage.

A nice and simple job to keep our customer going!

Employee of the month Lachlan was at Lincoln Electric today learning all about our new Hyperfill welder and all of its features.

It was an impressive facility with a fantastic can do attitude towards innovation in welding.

Innovation is contagious and I can’t help but getting excited in places like these learning about possibilities we can go in engineering.

An Australian made Kelly Bar! 🇦🇺

Here we are doing the first test of this low head room (2m packed up extending out to 9.5m!) kelly bar recently made at Trippett Engineering!

This has been happening in the background over a few months with the whole job from design to finished product has been completed in house.

It’s been a bit of a head wrecker at times 😵‍💫, but we got through to the end and it worked perfectly.

One of the proudest aspects of this job was how we couldn’t source tube to make the round sections, so we brake pressed them in 2 halves, welded them together and for 4 out of 5 sections we were within 1mm roundness.

And the best bit is that it was all locally sourced materials, made by locals to be used by locals.

So at the end of the long journey it was rewarding to see it all worked perfectly and it’ll be off for many years service to come!
