Another big hitter from garage.
Just some snippets of some of the alloy work we performed on this WRX STI.

Custom 4" thick intercooler with billet end tanks, made to our specifications from with hypex clamps all round besides the intake. This setup fits with next to trimming on the bumper bar.
We also added a custom chromoly crash bar to keep it legal and safety measures intact.
Credits to for coating it in a very timely manner!
New cooler pipes, intake pipe with a bulkhead plate to cover the bloody large gaping hole on the VA WRX.
A new multi baffle catch can was also fabricated to finish off the bay.

Even though we are on holidays, I want to catch up on some content and it has been severely lacking!
So here is another heat shielding project we completed a while ago for a with a 6boost manifold.

We often get the question, how well does it actually work? The video will so me just lightly touching the manifold after idling for 15-20mins with some high free revving (this was to check for leaks and get coolant and oil temps up as we just finished the build) and we can just touch the manifold without burning ourselves.
We could also do the same, after a 20 minute drive and straight after dyno runs.
DISCLAIMER, it is as still hot and we do not condone touching any hot components yourself. ๐Ÿ˜‚
In comparison, you would be lucky to get even close to any manifold after 2 minutes of idling time without any shielding.

Just finished up shielding ETS headers and a internally gated rear housing for FA series .
With the space available around the rear housing, we opted to pack out the rear housing, reducing temps even further.

3 Variances available

- 3" inlet and outlet fl**ges with a 100 cell catalytic converter (To suit aftermarket exhaust systems e.g. force etc)
- 3" inlet and outlet fl**ges carless
- 3" inlet / 2.5" outlet fl**ge with a 100 cell catalytic converter (To suit OEM exhausts)

Our downpipe features
- 12mm thick turbine and exhaust fl**ges
- High quality inner lined flex units
- 2mm 3" thick mandrel bends
- Turbine fl**ges and liniahes and edges chamfered to ensure the best possible seal
- Tig welded and black purged for strength and longevity
- All stainless construction
- Supplied with 3x copper locking nuts to turbo. 2 bolt exhaust gasket with nuts and bolts.
- All prepped, cut, fabricated and welded by us, in Sydney, Australia.

A tune is recommended/required after installation. You can use a defouler on the secondary o2 sensor location, though on later models it would most likely throw a malfunction code. Earlier models can sometimes get away with using a defouler but not guaranteed.

Even though these are completely made in Australia, we have priced it extremely competitively to cheaper imported Chinese units currently being sold on the market.

If there is enough interest, we are proposing a weekend dedicated to installing these downpipes. Installation would be done by 2 Technicians which have been in the Hyundai / Kia industry. Installs will be at our premises and could be as early next weekend!

Standard installation would be $350 per car
IF a stud breaks and requires turbo removal to replace the stud it would be an additional $700
We would take all care not to break the stud though it is inevitable sometimes.

This is a Mitsubishi sigma with a big block V8 Cleveland motor jammed in between the strut towers.
We were appointed the task of creating a set of headers and an exhaust that was functional, visually appealing and as symmetrical as possible.
With certain specs for the headers that were specified by the owner/engine builder, we got to work.
We built 4-1 headers, we mirrored the top 2 runners, unfortunately, due to the starter motor location we couldn't replicate the bottom runners without throwing the specs requested.
From that point we did our best to meet the requests.
We landed collectors, cone expander, mandrel bends, vband fl**ges, flex bellows and xpipe essentially opposite each other.
This achieved the perfect symmetry where we could flip the xpipe section and it still lined up with zero alignment issues.
From there we did a split over axle system using to make sure we keep the noise under control.
Again, doing our best to get the same angles, heights, bends, lengths even welding stop/starts to be symmetrical as possible
Every weld tig welded, back purged and made from stainless 304
It tested our patience, skill set and mindset. Though we think we hit the target, let us know what you think!

Wrapped up this for the fellas .
With certain requests we were asked to do the following
- Intercooler pipes using intercooler clamps through a bulkhead guard plate.
- 4" Intake pipe to also go through bulkhead plate.
- Custom spec 660 x 280 x 100 intercooler with billet end tanks. Minimal trimming of bar was performed.
- Front reinforcement cromoly bar.
- 3.5inch down pipe with an exhaust valve
- Modify TB to accept a clamp
- Catch can with multiple baffles, 3 inlets and drain back port.
- Modify washer bottle to allow more space for large cooler pipe

We have been doing more lately and we are quite enjoying it!
