Breakdown repairs for Acciona rail last week!

Investigate no hi-rail operation and intermittent loss of steering on the Hydrema. Found a failed diverter valve on the front hi-rail not allowing it to lower as well as a sticking priority valve spool. A new cartridge valve was replaced for the front hi rail as well as a slight polish and clean up to the priority valve spool until a replacement arrives. Back to work she goes!

We also had a reverse camera fault on a hi-rail tipper which required a new patch lead due to a broken A/V connector!

🔥🔥🔥 unfortunately one of our customers had a close call with an engine fire on there pc138us-11 komatsu excavator due to vermin making a home in and around the dpf and exhaust system. Luckily they were able to extinguish the fire before it was too late!

We carried out a complete strip down of the after treatment system and replacement of all relevant modules, temp sensors and wiring to get this machine back into operation as well as major service well it was parked up

With the weather starting to cool down mice and other vermin will be trying to find somewhere warm to nest and make a home. DPF's can reach over 500 degrees Celsius when carrying out a regeneration! Don't forget to check in and around your exhaust when carrying out your pre-start inspection

- driveshaft repair for on one of there mobile billboards due to seized support bearings

- Engine rebuild in progress on a tidy old MF35X Massey Ferguson to give her a new lease on life due to low compression

- on-site hydraulic hose replacement on a Manitou MT625 Telehander

- dpf replacement on a fuso canter due to a failed EGR valve

It's been a Fuso kind of week here at Brereton Diesel

Two little trucks with major problems!

We had a call out to inspect a transmission and abs fault on the first truck. Upon inspection we found some very suspect wheel bearings and brake rotors 😳

Second vehicle a total brake failure with the brake pad failing and damaging the rotor and brake caliper in the process!

Routine maintenance is no joke! Both these items would have been picked up on and rectified in a routine service inspection!

That's a funny looking excavator!

We had a customer contact us with a carnival trailer that was in need of some major hydraulic repairs. Complaint being that the hydraulic power pack would not raise the side of the trailer and to gain access the side had to be open!

We supplied and fitted a brand new hydraulic power pack and installed it in a location that was accessible when the side of the trailer was closed. We also installed hydraulic cylinder safety valves to bring this trailer up to Australian standards
