In the spirit of the holidays, we would like to inform you that our office & workshop will be closed from 6pm Friday 19th December and will re-open for business at 6am on Monday 5th January 2026.

We recently took some time out to enjoy pizza and celebrate some employee achievements and milestones! 🍕🏅

Firstly, we wished 𝗞𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗱 and 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗻 all the best in their retirement.

Keith has been with Austchrome for almost 20 years, having commenced with the company in January 2006. Keith is an elite machinist, and his skill, knowledge and experience will be greatly missed.

Warren has been with Austchrome for almost 8 years. During this time, he held a leadership position within our inwards/dispatch department and has worked tirelessly to ensure our quality products were delivered to our customers on time.

We thank both Keith and Warren for their many years of service and wish them all the best in retirement. 🤝

𝗥𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗼𝘂𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝘆𝗲𝗿 has completed his apprenticeship and is now a qualified machinist - congratulations Rossouw! 🎉

𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝗱𝗸𝗲𝗻 and 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘇 both notched 20 years of service with us, which is a massive achievement.

We sincerely thank them both for their dedication and hope to see them at Austchrome for many years to come! 🟢

🏃‍♂️ Team Austchrome turned out in full force for Run for MI Life on Sunday. 🟢

It was an incredible show of support from the Mackay community for a wonderful local charity.

Thousands showed up to run 3, 5 and 10km distances, raising vital funds and helping to remove the stigma around mental health conditions.

We could not be more proud to support this cause and can't wait for next year's event!

A very touching moment this morning at Austchrome as our Service Supervisor Johann was surprised by his wife of 36 years, Esme and the Triple M Mackay & The Whitsundays Good Luck Truck!

Esme, who has been bravely battling cancer over the last year, wanted to thank Johann for his unyielding support during such a difficult time.

The Good Luck Truck delivered the wonderful surprise of a Cruise Whitsundays Reefsleep, so Esme and Johann can get away for a well-deserved escape and create another special memory to cherish.

All of us at Austchrome wish them the most wonderful experience together. 💚

Today our team came together to recognise R U OK? Day – a simple reminder that a conversation can make a real difference. 🟡

Our Operations Manager, Wayne Sammut, and HSEQ Advisor, Brigette Eldridge, spoke on the importance of checking in with one another and building a culture where mental health is openly supported.

Kit-Kats were shared, but more importantly, so was the message: a strong team looks out for each other, on and off the job.

✅ Challenge Completed! ✅

A massive congratulations to our admin team leader, Mel Harris, for successfully completing the Goggins 4x4x48 challenge with F45 Training Mackay City over the weekend! 🏃‍♀️💪

That’s no small feat – 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours, totalling 77km. An incredible achievement! 👏

We’d also like to give a huge shoutout to all the participants who pushed through this tough challenge, and to F45 Mackay City for raising funds in support of Mackay Women’s Services – a cause that makes a real difference in our community.

Well done, everyone! We’re proud to have been part of it. 🟢
