VCM Coffee Machines

VCM Coffee Machines VCM Coffee Machines, we are a specialist coffee machine supplier and service company since 2001. Our aim is to ensure that we get it right the first time!

VCM Vending Coffee Machines was started in Perth, Western Australia in 2001, having started their “coffee” journey in the 1980's in Italy, where coffee is part of the daily social culture. We started our journey in the coffee industry in our home town in Italy where coffee is part of our culture. In the 80s we started working on various coffee machines developing precious contacts with the major m

anufactures who started pioneering into new technologies for the perfect espresso and started developing the first automatic systems of coffee machines. This has been an incredible opportunity to learn of the coffee brewing science since the first days of its development. A wave of economic uncertainty in Italy brought us in 1998 in our beautiful Perth where we straight away started looking at the coffee industry and we found out with great surprise that it was still a very young industry so we were blessed in having brought a big baggage of knowledge to a young industry and we started servicing and repair coffee equipment for the first Australian pioneers of coffee beans and in 2001 we the Polizzi family started VCM Vending Coffee Machines with the purpose of repairing coffee equipment and provide complete vending services to our customers. Thanks to the extraordinary level of skill and knowledge on the coffee machines from Gaetano our head technician and director and the accounting ability of Agata VCM could not have been in a healthier status today. VCM also includes Francesco and Luca who are experienced specialized technicians who have learned from their parents the trade of successfully and promptly repairing your coffee equipment. VCM Vending Coffee Machines survives on a reputation that has been achieved through hard work, honesty and integrity. So that we look after our customers, to provide what we hope is the finest service available.

☕🇮🇹 THE ITALIAN MOKA THAT CONQUERED THE WORLD

It is more than a coffee maker. It is a piece of Italian history, a symbol of home, family, tradition, and one of the most recognizable examples of Italian design in the world.

The story of Bialetti began in 1919, when Alfonso Bialetti opened a small workshop in Crusinallo, Piedmont, specializing in aluminum products.

But everything changed in 1933.

That year, Alfonso Bialetti created the Moka Express, an ingenious stovetop coffee maker that would forever change the way Italians prepared coffee at home. Its unmistakable octagonal aluminum body was simple, practical, affordable, and unlike anything most families had used before.

The idea was revolutionary: using the pressure created by heated water, the Moka could prepare a strong, aromatic coffee directly in the kitchen. Italians no longer needed to go to a café to enjoy an intense coffee experience. ☕❤️

However, the Moka’s extraordinary worldwide success really took off after World War II.

Alfonso’s son, Renato Bialetti, understood that his father’s invention could become much more than a household object. He expanded production, invested heavily in marketing and transformed the Moka Express into one of the symbols of Italy’s postwar economic boom.

During the 1950s and 1960s, millions of Moka pots began appearing in Italian kitchens.

Then came another icon: the little man with the mustache — “L’Omino con i Baffi.” 👨🏻☕

Created as the unmistakable face of the brand, the character became famous through advertising and especially through Italian television. For generations of Italians, seeing that little mustached man immediately meant one thing: Bialetti.

But the story didn’t stop at Italy’s borders.

Over the decades, the Moka Express traveled around the world. From Europe to North America, from Australia to South America, it became closely associated with the Italian way of preparing and enjoying coffee.

For millions of Italian families who emigrated abroad, the Moka also became something deeply emotional. 🇮🇹🌎

It was a small piece of Italy sitting on the kitchen stove.

The familiar sound of the coffee rising, the unmistakable aroma filling the house, and the ritual of sharing coffee after a meal could instantly bring back memories of parents, grandparents, Sunday lunches and life in Italy.

That may be one of the secrets behind its incredible success.

The Moka wasn’t simply selling coffee.

It was selling a ritual.

Even today, despite espresso machines, capsules and increasingly sophisticated coffee technology, the classic Moka remains instantly recognizable. Its essential design has survived generations and has become an international symbol of Made in Italy ingenuity.

And perhaps no story demonstrates the Bialetti family’s connection to the Moka better than what happened after Renato Bialetti died in 2016.

His ashes were placed inside a large Moka-shaped urn during his funeral — a final and extraordinary tribute to the object that had defined his life and helped make his family’s name famous around the world.

From a small workshop in Piedmont to kitchens across the globe, the story of the Moka Express proves that sometimes the simplest Italian ideas become the most timeless. ❤️🇮🇹☕

More than a coffee maker.
More than an Italian design icon.
The Moka is a little piece of Italy in millions of homes around the world.
