Two jobs, one truck. Out front, amber LP6s and Squadrons cut through dust while you are moving. Out back, Squadron scene lighting across the canopy for finding a campsite or working once you have stopped. Getting both right is the difference between a truck that looks good and a truck that works. Shot with the Baja Designs crew in the States. Ask us what would suit yours.

That spread is the S1 running a Wide Cornering pattern, and it is short and wide on purpose. It fills the edges of the track and the scrub either side, which is exactly where the animals step out from. Most builds over invest in distance and under invest in width. Run a spot for reach and a Wide Cornering for everything closer. Shot by Baja Designs in the US.

Before the light bars, the race wins and the Scientists of Lighting, there was one dirt bike that needed to be street legal. Back in 1992, Alan Roach built his first light in a San Diego garage so his Honda XR600 could legally get to the trailhead. That simple need became the beginning of Baja Designs. The lights that followed found their way onto race trucks and bikes competing - and winning - at events like the Baja 1000. Race teams began calling the engineers responsible for designing and aiming their lighting the Scientists of Lighting, and the name stuck. More than 30 years later, that same race-proven lighting is available right here through Baja Designs Australia, with local stock, local warranty and a team you can actually call here at home. This rig is a pretty good example of what the Baja Designs name has grown into.

Adjust your beam without leaving the driver's seat. The REFLEX Light Actuator bolts to your existing Baja Designs brackets and moves your light up to 20 degrees on demand, with no fabrication and nothing to cut. It runs off a momentary switch or a power control module like an sPOD, and it is compatible across the LP Series, XL Series, S8 and OnX6+. Shot by Baja Designs in the US. Not a lab test. Just a Squadron, a mezzanine and a Mickey Thompson tyre. A few scratches, a couple of broken fins and plenty of punishment later… it still lights up. That’s the kind of durability these lights are built for, and exactly why Baja Designs backs them with a lifetime warranty. Have you got a Squadron with a better war story? Drop it below. 👇

Two S1s, straight into the factory pockets on the Ranger Raptor. No drilling, no adapter plates and nothing hanging off the bar, so the front of the truck still looks like it left the factory that way. Each pod runs 2,320 raw lumens from 20 watts on a Wide Cornering pattern, which widens the near field rather than reaching further down the track. Ask us about fitment for yours.

Amber LP4s across the rack, an amber OnX6 in the bumper, and a GX550 that is not remotely bothered by how much dust it makes. The bar down low fills the ground immediately in front of you, the row up on the rack reaches out past it, and because both are amber the beam pushes through instead of lighting the dust up like a wall. A couple months back, the Patriot twins got in touch with us to organise a birthday surprise for Justin from Patriot Campers. Justin had absolutely no idea what was coming, which made the whole thing even better. The boys sorted the gift, we helped with the delivery, and the reaction from the moment the wrapped box arrived through to the Baja gear being revealed was exactly what you’d hope for. Happy birthday Justin. We hope you had a ripper one from all of us at Baja Designs Australia.

It’s the small details that pull a build together. The Squadron Pro 2.0 features an integrated RGB backlight, giving you the option to choose a colour that works with the rest of the vehicle. For this Superduty, we set the backlights to amber to match the existing running lights across the front. Clean, consistent and much better than having everything doing its own thing. You still get the serious performance of the Squadron Pro 2.0 when the main lights come on, with a bit more personality built in. https://www.bajadesigns.com/squadron-2-0-led-auxiliary-light-pods/?utm_name=sked&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_content=sked_6a6c1e367ef4652daec6395e
