Dog Bone Refurbishment

Another quality refurbishment completed, extending component life and ensuring continued reliability in the field.

Labfab recently completed the design, fabrication and installation of a series of custom architectural steel structures for a residential project in Millthorpe, NSW.

The project scope included:

• 5 x L-shaped arbours fabricated from 100 x 100 SHS
• 1 x U-shaped entry arbour fabricated from 125 x 125 SHS
• Custom fireplace steel lining
• Site measure and drafting services
• Design in accordance with relevant Australian Standards
• Monument Grey protective coating
• Crane truck installation and final placement

The arbours were designed to integrate with the existing outdoor living areas while providing a robust and long-lasting structure for future landscaping and climbing plants.

From initial site measure and drafting through to fabrication, coating and installation, the project was delivered as a complete turnkey package by the Labfab team.

Another quality repair project completed by the team at Labfab.

We recently carried out repairs to an Elevated Work Platform (EWP) basket that had sustained structural damage.

Scope of works included:

• Removal and replacement of damaged 30mm x 30mm SHS members
• Removal and replacement of damaged kick rails
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections and reporting on all basket frame repairs
• Surface preparation and painting following completion of repairs and inspections

Safety and compliance are critical when it comes to access equipment. By combining quality fabrication, certified welding repairs, and NDT verification, we ensured the basket was returned to service with confidence.

Last month our team represented LAB FAB at the Cobar races as a sponsor.

For most businesses that is just a marketing decision - for us it is personal.

Our founders grew up in Cobar. That town shaped us. The people there taught us what community actually looks like - showing up for each other, backing the local businesses, celebrating together and getting through the hard times together.

We still have family and mates there.

When LAB FAB gets the opportunity to put something back into that community - we do not think twice.

Prototype Complete | Renewable Energy Farm Project
