Marshall traction engine strip down in progress for a new firebox. For a 126 year old engine it is in pretty good condition overall and has come apart pretty easy.

Haven't posted anything for a while, but here are a few photos and updates in some recent works:

- 12" Vertical Boiler prototype complete (more details to come on an upcoming production run of these units)
- 2 x Wallis Traction Engines now mechanically complete and into the paint shop
- New tapered we***ck steel locomotive boiler for a 7.25" Black 5
- Briggs Boiler for 4.5" scale Allchin Traction Engine
- We***ck Steel Boiler for a 7.25" gauge LBSC Rainhill
- Partial build on a 7.25" gauge BB18.25 Tender
- Recommissioning works on customers locomotive

We have had a lot of interest in how we have rubbered the wheels for the Wallis engines so I thought a post explaining the process we follow might be helpful. There are many ways of doing this but this is the method we follow.

Ready for the road....

The buffalo Pitts boiler project has finished with us and is off back to its owners for tubing and reassembly.

It's been a mammoth project and a massive learning curve... A big thanks to the members of Steaming on the Downs Inc. for their tireless assistance and skill on riveting days.
