Today, forged wheels are everywhere, including many budget-friendly options from China and Thailand. Most are designed entirely on computers: a few nice curves, a basic simulation, and a pretty CAD render. Thatโs usually as far as it goes.
RAYS Engineering Japan doesnโt stop there. Every Volk Racing design; from the legendary TE37 and CE28 to the modern ZE40, starts its life inside Japanโs GT500 and Super Taikyu race programs, where engineers capture real telemetry data: lateral G-loads, heat mapping, and spoke strain under genuine race conditions. That data is then fed directly into Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to digitally model how every spoke, hub pad, and rim fl**ge behaves under the brutal stress of motorsport.
RAYS engineers use actual telemetry and strain-gauge data from:

โข Super Taikyu endurance racing โ 500 hp machines surviving 24 hours non-stop;
โข Formula Drift โ high-power drift cars generating violent lateral load spikes.
This tells them exactly where spokes flex, where heat concentrates around the hub pad, and how load paths travel through the rim during continuous lateral stress.
