So when it came to finding our new Sales Executive, we were delighted to already have the perfect man for the job in-house: Ash Gore. 👏👏👏

Ash has been with the King Bars team since November 2022, starting in production where he quickly gained a hands-on understanding of what goes into building a quality Australian-made bullbar. In November 2025, he moved into our fitting bay, working directly with customers' trucks and developing a practical understanding of vehicle fitment and customer requirements.

Now, Ash takes the next step in his King Bars journey, moving into the Sales Team as our newest Sales Executive, taking over from Tyson Hornbuckle (who has stepped up into the Dispatch Manager role). His new role will see him managing inbound enquiries, preparing quotes, processing dealer orders and, most importantly, helping customers find the right solution for their truck. 🚚

In his 3.5 years with us, Ash has worked across multiple areas of the business, giving him the comprehensive, hands-on experience that’s invaluable in sales. He not only understands how our products are built, but also how they're fitted and used in the real world. That practical knowledge means customers can be confident they're speaking with someone who knows the product inside and out.

One project Ash is particularly proud of was helping build King Bars' first DAF bulbar, an exciting milestone as we continue expanding our product range to support more operators across Australia.

When he's not at work, you'll usually find Ash enjoying the outdoors, spending time with family, or following his beloved AFL team. Go the Demons! 💪

Congratulations to Tyson Hornbuckle on his promotion to Dispatch Manager! 🎉

Tyson's King Bars story goes back to 2012. He spent a short time away from the business early on, but it didn't take long before he found his way back. Once King Bars gets into your blood, it's hard to stay away!

Since then, Tyson has become the person the team turns to when something needs sorting out. Whether it's solving a customer's problem, finding a practical fix on the workshop floor, or helping a teammate through a challenge, he's built a reputation for getting things done. It's no surprise his favourite build is our Ultimate Bar, a bar that rewards the same attention to detail Tyson brings to his own work.

In his new role, Tyson takes charge of our fitting and dispatch operations, making sure every bullbar leaves King Bars on time and ready for the toughest Australian conditions. Outside of work, his family comes first, and that same commitment shows up in everything he does for our team and our customers.

The King Bars team had a great night at the Queensland Trucking Assn Ltd Industry Awards last month. 😀🏆

It was our first time attending the Queensland Trucking Association Industry Awards and we weren’t quite sure what to expect, but we were blown away by the atmosphere and the genuine warmth of the evening.

It was also a great opportunity to celebrate the people and businesses that make Queensland's transport industry what it is, with some meaningful awards recognising the hard work, dedication and contribution across the industry.

One of the highlights was simply catching up with so many of our customers, industry peers, and friends outside the usual day-to-day, and seeing our bull bars out on the road on some of the heavy vehicles in attendance was a great reminder of exactly why we do what we do.

THE highlight of the night, however, was congratulating Patrick Mahon from MJ Mahon Transport, winner of the 2026 QTA Young Achiever of the Year Award. This was a particularly special award for us to support at King Bars. We have a great working relationship with MJ Mahon Transport and Patrick, as well as Volvo Trucks Australia, so it was fantastic to see Patrick recognised for his contribution to the industry. Patrick is already making his mark through his work in fleet maintenance, systems improvement, and customer visibility, and it's clear he has a bright future ahead in transport. It was a pleasure for Jeff Wilson from King Bars and Mark Barnes and Nicole Laspa from VCV to present Patrick with his award.

We all had a fantastic night with great people, celebrating everything that makes the Queensland transport industry what it is.

Thanks to the QTA team for putting together such a memorable evening. We're already looking forward to the next one!
