One great product. Three reasons it belongs in your kit.

CyaLume ChemLight Tactical Lights are affordable, lightweight, and genuinely multi-use, which makes them a no-brainer for medics, paramedics, and search and rescue teams.

Triage: at a mass casualty incident, chem lights let you colour-code patients quickly, even in total darkness. Green for delayed (P3), yellow for urgent (P2), red for immediate (P1).

Emergency Lighting Tactical operators: crack a red chem light inside your medkit for a low-profile glow that won't compromise your position. Or, if you're non-tactical, a bright white or yellow stick gives you solid working light for night operations.

Buzzsaw Signalling — thread a chem light onto paracord, crack it, and spin. The rotating light is visible from a significant distance. Under night vision or infrared, rescue aircraft can pick it up clearly.

Ask yourself:
Is the threat still present?
Is the scene stable?
What's your exit?

If you rush in without awareness, you could become the second patient.

Situational awareness is an essential skill. Training builds it. Experience sharpens it. Discipline keeps it switched on.

Mission: Zero preventable deaths. Start with S.

Australia has some of the most remote roads in the world. In a serious accident, emergency services can be thirty minutes away or more.

Road trauma can cause life-threatening bleeding within minutes. A car accident, a motorcycle crash, a rollover — if you're first on scene or it's you in the accident, your response in those first few minutes matters.

The question isn't whether it could happen on your drive. It's whether you're equipped to respond when it does.

Workplaces are legally required to have first aid kits on site. But a standard kit isn't designed for serious trauma. In a high-risk environment, that gap can cost a life.

Most workplace incidents involving serious bleeding happen fast and without warning. A grinder incident, a forklift accident, a fall — your team has minutes to respond, not hours.

The question isn't whether it could happen on your site. It's whether your people are equipped to respond when it does.

As a person conducting a business or undertaking, having proper bleeding control capability on site isn't just good practice, it's due diligence.
