📍 THE FIRST FACTORY UNIT – CAREY GROVE ROAD, MINTO

This is where S**T GOT REAL.

Luke packed up the shed at Wilton and took the leap into a tiny factory unit at Carey Grove Road, Minto. It wasn't glamorous. It wasn't easy. It was a small unit in a complex shared with six other businesses, massive overheads (or at least what felt massive at the time), a lease he barely understood, and absolutely no idea what the next two years would bring.

But he backed himself and gave it a crack.

THE BAD...

Landlords suck.

Some people genuinely wanted Luke to fail. They didn't hide it. They pushed for it. Every step forward seemed to come with another hurdle, another opinion, another person waiting for things to fall apart.

Luke spent a lot of time trying to make everyone happy, trying to please everyone and keep the peace. Eventually he learnt that's an impossible task.

But here's the thing...

The bad people, the doubters and the setbacks never outweighed the good.

And the good was just around the corner.

May – 10 Years in Business at Hy Shyne Customs

As Luke scrolls through old photos, there’s a story behind every single one — late nights, heartbreak, setbacks, and the constant hope that one person or one company would finally give him a shot… a chance to build something that would leave a lasting impression forever.

Then came the birth of the first “Superhero” truck.

Not taking away from the smaller jobs along the way — because every truck, every accessory, every opportunity taught him something new. Every completed build has a photo, a memory, a laugh, and a story attached to it.

But while the dream was growing, the Wilton shed was becoming harder and harder to work from. With Luke’s in-laws running their own transport business, space was tight, pressure was building, and before relationships were strained, a decision had to be made.

The problem was… where to next?

Just another piece to the puzzle.
