Our hay and grain feeders are in high demand, with a steady flow of orders coming through — and it’s easy to see why.

We manufacture durable cradle feeders designed to suit both round and large square bales, along with hay rings specifically for round bales. Built for strength and practicality, they’re ideal for efficient feeding and minimising waste.

For grain feeding, we offer three sizes of sheep grain feeders to suit operations of all sizes. Our heavy-duty cattle feeder holds over 5 cubic metres of grain, making it a reliable solution for larger-scale feeding programs.

Both our sheep and cattle feeders feature adjustable slides, giving you full control over grain flow rate. Our sheep feeders also include partitions to reduce competition, helping ensure more even access across your flock.

While designed with sheep and cattle in mind, these feeders are also suitable for other livestock, including alpacas, goats, and calves.

All of our feeders are proudly manufactured in Mount Pleasant, using quality Australian steel to ensure strength, durability, and long-lasting performance.

Keep an eye out for an article in this week's Stock Journal on the shearing shed we recently completed for Lake Everard Station, located in the North West Pastoral district.

The new shed includes a 7-stand curved board and provides undercover space for up to 800 head. Measuring 39m x 20m, it also features a 9m x 20m storage area complete with a bale loading platform, as well as a 9m x 9m lunchroom.

Alongside the shed, we designed and built heavy-duty sheep yards with a capacity to work 1,200 head. The yards include a double handling race and a 7.2m loading ramp equipped with an electric winch—built for efficiency and durability in demanding pastoral conditions.

The installation of the internals for this shearing shed in western Victoria was recently completed by our sub-contractors.

The internals feature a 4-stand curved board with chute release, Presto rail penwork, timber grating in the catching pens and plastic tile grating in the holding pens, and the sheep entry ramp will provide access from yards.

We have now been in business for over 35 years and manufacturing sheds for over 20 years. Magnus is a well-established family-owned and operated business based at Mt Pleasant in the northern Adelaide Hills. We are currently employing between 25 local people from the Adelaide Hills and surrounding areas. The Magnus Australia mission is to design, develop and manufacture high quality sheds and stock handling equipment which offer the optimum value for money for our clients. This will invariably also make stock handling and farmwork safer, easier, and more efficient in the short and long term.
