An early morning demonstration with a local Council in Adelaide sparked some great ideas for a build design tailored to their exact application.

Working in tight-access, built-up metro areas presents unique challenges, so the goal is to develop a versatile insulated EWP that is nimble enough to navigate confined spaces while still providing the range of movement needed to access dense tree limbs and canopies.

The VERSALIFT VST40I offers a 14m working height with up to 9m of horizontal outreach. The pedestal can be mounted toward the front of the truck bed to create a more compact unit with a tighter turning circle, or rear-mounted to increase rearward reach and encourage cutting away from the truck cab.

Toolbox design and layout can also be purpose-built to suit the specific needs of the crew and their application.

This VERSALIFT VST40I build has been specifically engineered for bridge and tunnel maintenance across the north-eastern NSW road network. Work crews provided excellent feedback following the final inspection completed this week.

A big thanks to Peter Phillips and the team at Pete’s Tree and Stump Removal in Melbourne this week.

They have just taken delivery of their brand-new Versalift VST40I Arbor-Spec build.

Pete’s crew had a few special requests for their new EWP truck, and we were happy to deliver, including:

All of this is built on the rock-solid Hino 500 FE1426 chassis, an outstanding combination.
