We placed equal 10ish overall in the Unlimited Class at URC Molong.

As you can see, Day 1 didn’t go to plan 😅 . We had a portal input shaft let go on Track 2 which we fixed before the night stage. then rolled on the night stage after the front left slipped. So we ended up near the bottom of the leaderboard.

Day 2 was much better. Shan and Jordy found their rhythm and completed the daytime tracks. The car’s portal started clunking during the day though, and by the end of it, it was getting bad enough that we weren’t sure how much longer it was going to last.

Day 3, the plan was to keep racing for as long as the portal gear would hold up.
The boys got through the first two tracks with a few cone penalties here and there.

A two-minute DNF track was introduced to help separate the top leaders. Shan abused it up Gate 1. Drove the car like an ultra4 and pushed 2 trees over to avoid a reverse penalty. Timed out in the end, but it was a solid effort and was sure it was good to watch.

Overall, a very good weekend. We even drove the car back onto the trailer! 🙌🏼

Thank you to Navy Jordy, Mitch and Jake for travelling down from QLD, Bran, Beck, Rach, Chrisso, our families, and everyone who came out to support the team. It was great catching up with you all.

Congratulations to all and thanks to URC for putting on a very well-run event.

Day one at URC resulted in a damaged portal. Attempting an undercut climb at gate 3 of “On Crack” the front axle loaded up and the Portal input shaft let go 🫣 Once we returned to the shed we also found twisted splines on the front axle.

We are all patched up and ready to go for the night stage now!

Even better in real life. Huge thanks to for taking our livery brief and turning it into something that feels like Davimac Motorsports!

We wanted a bold, clean design, and something that worked across both the flat panel and fibreglass body of our Ultra4.

We (especially Amy) are really happy with how it ties the whole build together 👌🏼

Trailing arms are all finished with clevis shock ends. Will be machined out of 7075. The bypass shock clevis has two uniballs to keep the trailing arm stable and the coil over has just one uniball so it can have a little bit of misalignment. Will we get them hard anodized. Also has a stainless steel skid plate.

Working on some new billet trailing arms for our Ultra4. Will be machined out of 7075 alloy.

Thanks Mitch from for doing the initial shock tuning with us.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to fine-tune the ultra4 further with the other issues we ran into from the All-terrain stage but we really appreciate the time and effort you put in behind the scenes to get us to

All-terrain stage . Felt absolutely awesome. We were going really well until we weren't. Came to the creek section with a drop and we ended up dropping the belly down onto a rock and it pushed the gearbox up slightly meaning it made the mid shaft hit one of the frame cross members.
