🛞🛞TYRE TIP: WHEEL BALANCING🛞🛞

Feeling a new shake after all this wet weather?

A customer came in today saying he could feel a vibration in his car. As soon as John took the tyre off the vehicle, he could see the problem. The before balance was extremely out, but once he washed away the mud and put it back on the balancer, it was almost perfect and only needed slight adjustment. The mud had been causing the entire problem! 😉

With our roads looking like this (pic of our road at the moment), it’s no surprise we’re seeing wheels packed with sticky mud.

Mud can build up unevenly inside the rim, throwing the wheel out of balance and causing vibration through the steering or vehicle.

Correctly balanced wheels provide smoother steering and handling, help your tyres wear evenly and can extend the life of your tyres.🙌🙌

If you’ve noticed a new shake after travelling, we’re always here to help - but this time, the solution might be as simple as washing the mud out of your rims! 🚗🌧️

We've had quite a few questions about fuel pricing lately, so we thought we'd explain how we operate.

To be honest, we know many of you are confused about fuel pricing... and sometimes we are too! There are so many factors that influence pricing, and that it can be difficult to make sense of what's reported and what you see at the bowser.

What we can tell you is how we operate.

As a locally owned independent service station, we buy our fuel by full B-Double Truck, because it's the most cost-effective way for us to purchase directly from the terminal. We then price our fuel based on what that delivery has cost us.

Ahead of the fuel excise change, Jason worked with our suppliers to ensure our tanks were full before the increase so we can keep our prices as low as possible for as long as our current stock allows.

We can't promise to be the cheapest every single day, but we can promise we'll always do our best to offer fair, honest pricing. That's how we've always operated, and that's how we'll continue to operate.

Our aim has always been simple: fair prices, honest service, and looking after the community that has supported us for more than 30 years.

☀️ A little story from today…

With the sun shining, plenty of farmers were making the most of the weather. Jason was too…..

Now, anyone who knows us, knows Jason likes to sneak away for a bit of farming whenever he gets the chance. Today he thought he was in for the perfect spraying run… until he heard every farmer’s least favourite sound.......a flat tyre. 😩

Turns out selling tyres doesn’t make you immune to punctures!😂😂

There was no panic - just a quick phone call to John. 🙌🏼🙌🏼💪

Back at the shop we checked the shelves. Did we have a tube? Yep. Did we have a tyre if we needed one? Yep.🙌🏼🙌🏼

The only concern was getting the truck bogged in the paddock, so John & Ty loaded everything into the LandCruiser instead and headed off.

An hour and a half later from the first phone call, the tube was changed, the tyre was back on, and Jason was back spraying.❤️❤️

We know sometimes that’s just how farming goes. Luckily we had what was needed, John was free to head out, and before long Jason was back doing what he needed to do!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Hopefully everyone else has a smoother run than he did… but if you do strike trouble, you know where to find us. 🚜💪🫶🏼

🌈 Another financial year comes to a close.

Like every small business, we’ll spend some time looking at the numbers. It’s no secret the past year has brought its share of challenges, but the numbers only tell part of the story.
