The warm kitchen formula we keep coming back to

Start with a light stone that has a little movement, then layer in timber, soft brass and rounded details. Keeping everything in the same warm colour family makes the space feel inviting, without looking busy.

Here, GS502 Aurora Gold brings a gentle golden tone to the island and splashback — enough detail to make the kitchen feel special, while still letting the whole room breathe.

Resort-style bathrooms are not created by adding more materials. They begin with one surface that can hold the room.

SST405 Loess brings a warm mineral palette and layered, stone-like movement to bathroom walls and floors. Its soft beige tone works especially well when the goal is calm rather than cold — pairing naturally with timber joinery, brushed metal, warm light and generous negative space.

For wellness-led homes, coastal retreats and boutique hospitality interiors, Loess offers a more grounded alternative to high-contrast marble looks. The pattern has presence, but it does not compete with the architecture.

NEW COLOUR — GS517 CRISTALLO PINK

Soft pink by day. Luminous when backlit.

GS517 Cristallo Pink is a Zero Silica Stone inspired by the crystalline beauty of Himalayan salt. Layers of soft blush pink move across the surface like delicate brushstrokes, intersected by white crystalline details and warm gold veining.

Placed in front of a lightbox, the surface takes on an entirely different character—glowing from within and revealing greater depth throughout the pattern.

A distinctive choice for designers looking for a pink stone, translucent surface or backlit statement feature.

Bold stone needs one place to speak.

If you are considering a bold green stone, don’t begin with where else can we use it? Begin with: where should the eye pause?

In living spaces and entries, a high-movement surface works best when it is treated as one considered architectural moment — not a finish to repeat everywhere.

A simple way to approach it:

Choose one focal plane.
An entry wall or living-room feature is enough to give the space identity.

Let the pattern read at scale.
Avoid breaking expressive slabs into too many small sections. The movement needs room to feel intentional.

Keep the supporting palette quiet.
Warm timber, softly textured walls and restrained metals allow the stone to hold attention without making the room feel heavy.

The result is not a “green room”. It is a space with a clear point of view.

Some surfaces are selected to blend in. Brazilian Emerald is selected for the moments it can define.

GS511 is a deep green Zero Silica Stone with layered movement and a polished finish. Across these kitchen visualisations, it shows how the same slab can be specified in different ways — as a bookmatched island, a waterfall detail, or a measured focal point within a more restrained palette.

For designers, builders and stonemasons, the value is in seeing the material beyond a sample: its scale, direction and visual weight in a complete interior.

MATERIAL PAIRING — CALACATTA MICHELANGELO × AURORA GOLD

A kitchen splashback does not need to simply repeat the benchtop.

Here, SSOP503 Calacatta Michelangelo porcelain is used as a full-height splashback. Its luminous white base and expressive grey-gold veining give the vertical surface definition, while the large-format application allows the pattern to read with fewer visual interruptions.

Below it, GS502 Aurora Gold Zero Silica Stone introduces softer, more linear movement across the benchtop. The two surfaces share a warm white and gold-toned palette without looking identical.

Paired with walnut joinery and warm integrated lighting, the result is refined, cohesive and distinctly warm contemporary.

Visit Gen Stone Melbourne to view both surfaces in person or request samples—no appointment needed.

One surface, carried throughout the entire kitchen.

This display-home kitchen features **GS502 Aurora Gold Zero Silica Stone** across the waterfall island, benchtops and splashback.

Its warm white base and flowing gold veining complement the rich timber joinery, herringbone flooring and warm architectural lighting—creating a kitchen that feels cohesive, inviting and considered from every angle.

One palette, carried throughout the home — without making every space feel the same.

Warm timber cabinetry, herringbone flooring and soft neutral finishes create the foundation of this Melbourne home.

GS502 Aurora Gold Zero Silica Stone is carried from the kitchen island and benchtops through to the bar and bathroom vanity, creating a consistent material language throughout the home.

In the kitchen, SSOP503 Calacatta Michelangelo Porcelain introduces stronger movement through the splashback, adding another layer of detail while staying within the same warm palette.

A beautiful example of how repetition, contrast and material selection can bring an entire home together.

Pair it with warm white joinery and light timber for a softer interior, or contrast it with walnut, charcoal and brushed-metal finishes for a more expressive palette.

Introducing GS601 Amazonite, a new Zero Silica Stone from Gen Stone’s Exotic Collection.

A rich spectrum of emerald, teal and deep mineral tones is layered with white, grey and warm earthy movement, giving the surface its distinctive Amazonite-inspired character.

In this kitchen concept, GS601 creates a striking contrast against matte-black joinery and dark architectural detailing. Used across the island and splashback, its expressive pattern becomes the defining material of the space.

Designed for interiors that call for colour, depth and a confident focal point.

Contact Gen Stone Melbourne to explore GS601 Amazonite for your next kitchen, bar, vanity or reception project.
