That Laser Line Never Lies

There’s something deeply satisfying about a perfectly straight cut.

Our straight line rip saw with laser guidance allows us to true timber with absolute accuracy before it ever becomes furniture. That green line isn’t for show — it’s precision, control, and consistency in action.

This is one of the quiet workhorses behind our solid timber furniture, ensuring every board starts straight, true, and ready for craftsmanship.

If you’re based in Australia and looking to upgrade your factory setup, we can custom make this straight line rip saw machine to suit your space and production needs.

If you love seeing what goes on behind the scenes, hit follow and join us on the journey. We’re building something beautiful.

This is our floating planer sander in action.

Designed to flatten large joined timber panels with absolute consistency, this machine allows material to pass through smoothly while maintaining even pressure across the surface.

The result is a beautifully flat, uniform panel brought down precisely to the desired thickness — in this case, 4cm.

Every pass is controlled.
Every millimetre matters.

Floating technology means the sanding head works with the timber, not against it — reducing chatter, avoiding pressure marks, and delivering a finish that’s ready for final sanding and oiling.

This is the kind of precision that serious workshops rely on.

Roll with it

Let’s talk roller tables — one of the most underrated game-changers in the workshop.

This beauty helps streamline movement between machines, reducing strain on your team and increasing workflow efficiency.

Here are a few tips for getting the most out of yours:
1. Keep it clean
Dust and resin build-up on the rollers? That’s a fast track to damaged boards and extra push effort. Wipe them down regularly with a bit of solvent.
2. Level it out
Your Lumber Machinery roller table should be perfectly aligned with the feed height of your machine — especially with edge banders and sanders.

A small drop or rise can throw off accuracy.
3. Set your spacing
Roller spacing matters. Tighter spacing helps when handling shorter or thinner panels — wider spacing suits heavier slabs.
4. No loose ends
Check all bolts and fasteners weekly. Over time, vibration can loosen fittings and throw off your alignment.
5. Use both ends
Set up one roller table for infeed, and another for outfeed. It keeps things moving and your team working smarter, not harder.

Investing in the right setup — and maintaining it — keeps production flowing and your timber safe.

Got questions about your own setup? Shoot us a message — we love talking shop.
