_260208 Post Info Merc ML500

This is a quick-build of the Mercedes SUV ML500.
The kit is from Doyusha, in 1:48 scale.
I purchased this kit at a swap-meet, for the princely sum of only 5 dollars.
The kit comes with the main body sections fully painted.
A bit of hand painting added for detail.
Total build time about 4 hours.
A great kit from the Japanese company Doyusha Model Kits.

This is a scale model of the English Electric Canberra Aircraft, as operational by Australian RAAF, an Airfix kit, in 1:48 scale.
The aircraft top is three-colour camouflage, with black underneath, for night-strikes.
The Canberra Aircraft is displayed in a simple diorama, in flight over Vietnam, circa 1970.

Here is the latest Scale Model Build on my YouTube Channel.

This is a Diorama scene set in Vietnam, Long Tan, in 1966.
The scene would be two forward scouts for Australia’s Delta Company. Delta Company was the first to move into Long Tan in 1966.
The two Australian soldiers are a Section Leader and a Communications Signalman.
They are stopped on the road, consulting a map, and communicating via radio to base.
Transport is a Land Rover Series 2A, with 30 browning fixed on the dashboard, a 50-Cal in the back, and two FN rifles at the ready.
The Landie is in Australian specification, with bush-bar and other body modifications as used in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s.
The Landie and diorama are in 1:35 scale.

Here are two progress photos of my P-40 Warhawk, 1/7 scale 60" wingspan.
A 50-year old balsa wood model (very brittle).
RC on all control surfaces.
I am waiting for the spinner (Russell in Qld), then can complete the nose end and propellor.
Then paining and decals.
For display only (not to fly)...

Here are some progress photos of my P-40 Warhawk.
TopFlight RedBox kit, 60” wingspan, 1/7 scale. This kit is 50 years old!
All 6 RC servos and lights installed. Pilot woman added.
Next is the electronics, and front end with 3-bladed prop, spinner, cowl, and small electric motor.
Will be for display only.
