When the challenge to build an engineered, street registered GC8 monster that could be driven on a summers day and then raced on the track using some of the best parts in the world, presented itself we were more than happy to take it on!
The core engine build included a Crest CNC billet block with a Cosworth Billet Crank, Kelford valve train, Radium fuel system, Roger Clark Motorsport dry sump and a rotated Garett turbo kit.
The aim was an OEM plus look, nothing loud, but all purposeful and have full functionality including ac.
Taking advantage of the linkecus capabilities we opted to use drive by wire throttle and AVCS Kelford cams, also adding in some motorsport functions such as flat shifting, auto blipping, rolling Antilag and driver modes.
The motec c127 was used to replace the oem dash cluster and fully integrated down to the smallest details.
Strengthening the drivetrain we upgraded to a Modena Engineering Sequential package with front and rear diffs to match, MAP DCCD unit controlling the centre differential.
Finally we completed an RG240 emissions test for the engineering certification.
Now registered and engineered it can finally be enjoyed by the owner.
The customer is beyond happy with it. We're hugely proud of it and thankful to have been apart of a unique project.
Thanks to the awesome companies we work with daily for supplying the goods to make this dream reality
