Our facility spans over 7000 square meters of factory space, wold class equipment, and lean manufacturing principles, with specifically trained and quality personnel operating on a rotating roster. We had the absolute pleasure of hosting Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie MP and our local MP John Barounis MP on the workshop floor last week! 🛠️

We loved showing off our team's incredible capabilities firsthand, seeing our advanced CNC machinery in action, and discussing the vital role regional industry plays in the state’s economic growth.

It is an exciting time for heavy industry and fabrication in the Wide Bay, especially with the launch of Maryborough's new $925,000 Wide Bay Manufacturing Hub right at the Centre of Excellence!

From our 7,000+ sqm facility on Kent Street, our team is showing the country exactly what regional Queenslanders can build. We are actively executing precision laser-cutting and heavy metal fabrication for train car bodies under the major Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), keeping supply chains tightly localised right here in the Wide Bay.

Combined with our ongoing engineering work for defence sector partners, we are continuing to scale our operations, invest heavily in advanced tooling, and create stable career pathways for our local tradespeople and apprentices.

Qualified Boilermaker – Maryborough, QLD

Global Manufacturing Group (GMG) is seeking a qualified and experienced Boilermaker to join our growing team in Maryborough, Queensland.

As part of a well-established Australian manufacturing company, you will be involved in fabrication, welding, assembly, repairs and modifications across a variety of projects. Experience with CNC machinery, press brakes or sheet metal fabrication is advantageous but not essential.

Requirements:

Trade qualification as a Boilermaker/Metal Fabricator
Experience in fabrication and welding
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
MIG, TIG and Stick welding experience
Ability to work to welding procedures and pass a weld qualification test
Strong work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to safety
Forklift licence advantageous
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency

Break Press Operator | Maryborough, QLD

Global Manufacturing Group are seeking an enthusiastic Break Press Operator for a full-time position in our Maryborough, QLD facility.

GMG is a dynamic team which offers special Turn Key Operation, with in house control over all facets of the manufacturing process from design to delivery of finished product. We specialise in manufacturing parts for Mining, Transport, Energy and Defence Industries.

The Role:
- Experience in setting up, adjusting, programming and operation of CNC press brakes to perform job requirements.
- Experience with hand tools and other auxiliary machinery
- Current Forklift licence an advantage but not essential
- Ability to work as part of a team
- A "can-do" attitude with a positive work ethic
- Problem solving mindset
- Show attention to detail in the work performed
- Permanent residency or Australian citizenship status

We offer:

Spray Painter (Qualified & Apprentice Roles) | Maryborough, QLD

Global Manufacturing Group (GMG) is seeking both a Qualified Industrial Spray Painter and a Spray Painting Apprentice to join our growing team in Maryborough, Queensland.

About the Roles
You will be involved in the preparation, coating and finishing of industrial metal products and structures. Work includes surface preparation, abrasive blasting, mixing and applying industrial coatings, and achieving high-quality finishes in line with safety and customer specifications.

The apprentice role will involve on-the-job training and development under experienced tradespeople.

Requirements
Qualified Spray Painter:

Trade qualification or equivalent experience
Experience in industrial spray painting and surface preparation
Knowledge of abrasive blasting and coating systems
Ability to read drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Apprentice Spray Painter:

Willingness to learn and develop trade skills
Good work ethic and reliability
Strong attention to detail
Positive attitude and ability to work in a team

Both roles require:
