Congratulations to artist Jordan Gogos on the opening of Parádeisos, his first institutional solo exhibition, and the unveiling of Don’t Think (2025–2026), a collaboration with the Pallion Arts Program.

Don’t Think marks the fourth collaboration of the Pallion Arts Program, a program looking to reignite the legacy of precious metals in contemporary art. The work culminates in a large-scale textile wall hanging adorned with Australian gold and silver, inspired by Jordan’s grandmother, Grace.

Based on a note Grace wrote during a sleepless night, Don’t Think explores memory, dislocation, and the search for grounding within the Greek diasporic experience. At its heart, the work considers how the mind can both constrain and liberate, inviting a more expansive way of thinking and being.

Parádeisos is on view at UNSW Galleries in Sydney until 16 August 2026.

At the heart of Jordan Gogos’ new work, 'Don’t Think', is also the heart of his family: his grandmother Grace.

Grace’s handwriting—a chronicle of anxieties from a sleepless night—adorns a large-scale canvas, sourced sustainably as part of the artist’s closed-loop ethos. Having emigrated from Greece to Australia in 1963, Grace’s musings are, “deeply personal, but also something many of us can relate to,” says Gogos.

For Gogos, the labour that has gone into this work is just a fraction of the labour that his grandmother and so many women like her do steadily and selflessly day in day out: that of mothers and homemakers.

Through the realisation of ‘Don’t Think’, Gogos aims to elevate Grace’s musings, creating “a new respect” for the voice of the woman who has shaped so much of his selfhood, and hence, his creative practice. A casting of their intertwined hands quite literally carries the work, a symbolic element that speaks to their bond.

That Grace and many other immigrant women like her are rarely given the voice that he is afforded through his art is not lost on Gogos—rather it imbues the work with added meaning.

Because for him, his success is inextricable from that of his family. “Grandparents have so much hope for you,” says Gogos, “that there’s this sense of, ‘whatever I am, they are.’ When I do something, that same thing is felt in them.”

In the sense that Jordan and Grace’s hopes, dreams and 2am anxieties are inextricable, “'Don’t Think' is a self-portrait.”

'Don’t Think (2025-2026)' is a collaboration between Jordan Gogos and the Pallion Arts Program, opening this Friday 29 May at UNSW Galleries as part of Paradeisos, Gogos’ first institutional solo exhibit.

We are proud to unveil Aurelia Elephas—an extraordinary elephant-inspired clutch created for the 2026 Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation Gold Dinner, handcrafted by Pallion subsidiary and ABC Bullion sister company, W.J. Sanders.

Valued at $500,000, the sculptural piece is the most valuable item to be auctioned in the Gold Dinner’s history, with proceeds directly supporting the future of paediatric healthcare through SCHF.

Entirely hand crafted by W.J. Sanders artisans, the work features a hand-raised sterling silver elephant body with 18ct yellow gold detailing and 706 hand-set gemstones, including over 18 carats of diamonds and over 100 carats of vivid green tsavorite garnets.

Over 500 hours went into the production of Aurelia Elephas, reflecting the extraordinary level of artistry and technical precision required to realise the work.

Pallion CEO Andrew Cochineas said the work reflects the enduring partnership between Pallion and the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.

“For over a decade, ABC Bullion and the wider Pallion group have proudly supported the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation Gold Dinner. This piece celebrates extraordinary Australian craftsmanship, but more importantly, it represents the generosity of a community coming together to help create better futures for children and families.”

A glimpse inside the mind of artist Jordan Gogos as he shares the inspiration behind ‘Don’t Think’, an upcoming work based on a handwritten note penned by his grandmother, Grace.

Exploring memory, migration and the materiality of thought, this large-scale textile wall hanging immortalises Grace’s words in ethically sourced Australian gold.

‘Don’t Think’ will be unveiled as part of Gogos’ first institutional solo show, Parádeisos, opening at UNSW Galleries on May 29.

Thank you to UNSW and UNSW Galleries for hosting such a thoughtful and engaging discussion exploring collaboration across art, design, manufacturing and cultural practice.

It was a privilege for Richard Ashman, General Manager of Pallion’s jewellery subsidiary Palloys, to join the panel and share insights from our collaboration with Jordan Gogos and the broader ethos of the Pallion Arts Program. The discussion explored artist-led practice, authentic storytelling, sustainability and pushing the creative boundaries of precious metals.

Industry and education must work together to support meaningful creative outcomes, nurture emerging talent, and inspire the next generation of designers and makers.

A special thank you to everyone who joined the conversation and contributed to such an inspiring exchange of ideas around the future of cross-disciplinary creative practice in Australia.

Pallion is proud to announce the fourth collaboration in its Pallion Arts Program, with Australian artist and designer Jordan Gogos.

Emerging as one of Australia’s most compelling creative voices, Gogos’ interdisciplinary practice spans art and fashion, as the founder of the eponymous label Iordanes Spyridon Gogos.

Titled ‘Don’t Think’, this new work marks his expansion into precious metals, taking the form of a large-scale textile wall hanging that immortalises the words of his Greek grandmother in gold.

“This work is about trying to quiet the noise of the mind,” says Gogos. “It began with a note my grandmother wrote to herself during a sleepless night—something deeply personal, but also something many of us can relate to.”

Gogos’ commitment to sustainability through a zero-waste ethos, his exploration of migrant experience and connection to precious metals reflects recurring themes within the Pallion Arts Program—which provides Australian and international artists with unparalleled access to responsibly sourced Australian gold and silver, to realise ambitious artist-led works.

We look forward to sharing more about ‘Don’t Think’ ahead of its unveiling later this month as part of ‘Parádeisos’—Gogos’ first institutional solo show, held at UNSW Galleries.

Pallion and ABC Bullion are proud to highlight new research from RMIT University exploring how rare forms of platinum and gold could help shape the future of cancer treatment.

Supported by ABC Bullion, the research examines how these metals behave differently from traditional therapies, with the potential to enable more targeted and less toxic treatments.

"At Pallion, we are committed to supporting scientific advancement that has the potential to transform lives. To see ABC Bullion gold contributing directly to research that may shape the next generation of cancer therapeutics is both important and inspiring." — Andrew Cochineas, CEO, Pallion.

Pallion and ABC Bullion were proud to support this year's Tour de Cure Brisbane Long Lunch.

This important event plays a vital role in raising funds for cancer research and medical breakthroughs. This year, the Long Lunch raised over $535,000 and was dedicated to supporting a pivotal Melanoma Institute Australia research project exploring how gut microbiomes influence the effectiveness and safety of immunotherapy treatments.

We were honoured to welcome Professor Georgina Long, Director of Melanoma Institute Australia and 2024 Australian of the Year, as the event’s special guest speaker.

As proud Gold Partners, Pallion and ABC Bullion have supported Tour de Cure in raising over $158 million for cancer research, helping deliver 231 major cancer breakthroughs to date.
