NOT ALL PLASTIC IS CREATED EQUAL
Containment sheeting probably isn't the most exciting thing you'll buy for a jobsite.
→ Until you're 80 feet up repairing the wrong one.
Choosing containment material isn't just about roll size and price. Depending on the job, you may need to consider:
• Tear resistance: Will standard poly hold up, or does the job call for reinforced material?
• Containment vs. airflow: Do you need maximum dust and water containment, or a breathable mesh wind screen?
• Project duration: A longer project can make thickness, durability and UV exposure much more important.
• Installation: Reinforced scaffold sheeting includes eyelet bands specifically for attaching it to scaffolding.
• Fire requirements: Many sheeting types are available in flame-retardant versions, while airbag tarps come standard FR.
• Disposable vs. reusable: Poly may make sense for one project, while airbag tarps are specifically designed to be reused.
The cheapest containment isn't always the lowest-cost containment.
