Blockhead spent the afternoon at Hancock Racing in Newcastle plumbing up a Blockhead oil heater, on their immaculate Mustang driven by Steven Johnson in the series.
The oil heater is commonly used in the V8 supercar series and now has transitioned from its use on transaxles to 9inch differentials. Heating the housing and diff tubes to approx 80-85C.

It has been a busy month of January at Blockhead with the off season and teams sending Diesel Water heaters and Transaxle Oil heaters back for servicing in preparation for the season starting later in February + several new builds for speedway teams for their busy month of January racing. Danny Hill and his Roush Yates Phase 5 Falcon at Targa Tasmania starting yesterday using a Blockhead Electric Coolant heater.

He reached out as they were looking add to their engine pre-heating package and also to control the oil heating in their dry sump. The Electric Coolant heater was a great option for his team.

Blockhead designed a custom digital controller box to mount next to the dry sump tank in the rear of the Falcon. This always Danny to pre-heat his oil safely and not have to constantly monitor the heater and burn the oil.

Congrats to Jackson Delamont Motorsport and his team on the WIN last Saturday at Canberras ACT Speedway.

Jackson and his team are long time customers of Blockhead Engine Heaters. In the photos you can see they are now using the recently upgraded design of Blockhead Diesel Engine Heater box in the Mad Harry’s Iconic red.

The newly designed box is more compact, side mount hose holder and right hand side crash bar mount. The heater still retains the cover over the controls to assist with keeping dust out. Hose holder easily removed if cupboard space is short. (Note: previous design on wheel still available)

One of the bigger changes is that the heater has had a temperature upgrade. The new units have an approx. heating temperature of 195F - 200F. This upgrade is also available to all unit purchased start of 2020 onwards.

The team at got in contact recently regarding their Transaxle heating program.
Several emails backwards and forwards has lead to the team using one of Blockheads Oil heaters to increase heating temps prior to on track action this weekend at for the Airtouch500.
